oh the irony after you stole 50% of wargear form the other factions Because, apparently, the fact that all playable Imperial factions have access to bolters means that Sisters "stole" it. This statement is too dumb for me to bother seriously refuting.

Most armies have bikes/jetbikes(IG has horses!)
As for the Leman Russ...I'm partial to the rhino chassis myself(Predator with a battle cannon!)
but this isn't my codex...

In fairness:
Marines have bikes, jetpacks and light tanks and artillery
Guard has light tanks, heavy tanks and artillery.
In Mel's codex, the Sisters have bikes, jetpacs, light tanks, heavy tanks and artillery. It is somewhat unbalanced in terms of the stuff she hands out to the 'Sisters, considering it consists of pretty much everything in the Imperial armoury.
But 'ripped off' is hardly fair. Indeed, it's patently unfair.

Marines also have heavy tanks (in the form of Land Raiders), and fliers (blood angels at any rate, soon to be grey knights as well), and terminator armor (which the other Imperial factions have no equivalent to), and multiple bike types. They have more variety when it comes to assault units and... well, pretty much everything except fliers, heavy tanks, and artillery really.
Guard also has fliers as well, and FAR more variety when it comes to heavy tanks and artillery.
Sisters, meanwhile, have aspects of each of these armies, but not as much depth. Their variety is focused primarily in their infantry, so while they have different kinds of vehicles, the bulk of the force is intended to be in the infantry.

Well said Melissia, this is exactly how expect the Sisters of Battle to be equipped. They are supposed to be good at fighting up close, without needing support from other Imperial elements.

No, I don't feel like ripping off a tank from the Marines. . oh the irony after you stole 50% of wargear form the other factions Because the Imperium is completely against helping each other out. You know.

I was thinking of changing the Vindictor squad's Masterful Aim to simply give them re-rolls instead, as an attempt to simplify it.

How about re-rolls to hit while using the sniper mode?

Hrm. Re-rolls to hit or re-rolls to wound. I think to hit would probably be better.
So yes, re-rolls to hit as long as the squad hasn't moved that turn.

For some reason i'd usually prefer re-roll to wound depending on the strength. If we're talking about shooting then you're always going to hit 1/2 to 2/3 of the time but with wounding you won't. Eh i dunno i suppose most models are toughness 3 or 4 anyway. It's really your choice i guess.
I suppose if it's 'masterful aim' then it'd make more sense to just re-roll to hit.

Toying around with an idea of a modified sentinel design for a Sororitas walker. Visually the design would be something akin to a heavy sentinel, with one "arm" on the nose with eviscerator attached, and a weapon on either side of the hull. The legs and hull would be more bulky, as the legs need increased strength to carry the weight while maintaining speed, which also adds slightly to the level of armor it has... not at the level of dreadnaught armor, but enough to make it a viable combat walker. Its bulk also helps it carry the ammunition for its dual weapons.
Points: 90 Rules: Walker Armor: F12 S11 R10 Stats: Bs4, Ws4, S5, I3, At1 Equipment: Extra Armor, Smoke Launchers, Searchlight
Fire Support Pattern (+0): Heavy bolter on either side (TL Heavy Bolter), eviscerator on the arm (adds +1 S10 chainfist attack). Options: Replace Twin-Linked Heavy Bolter with the following: -- Twin-Linked Heavy Flamer (+10) -- Twin-Linked Multi-Melta (+30)
Assault Pattern (+25): Two eviscerators (one arm on either side, adds +2 chainfist attacks), one nose-mounted heavy bolter Options: Replace Heavy Bolter with the following: -- Heavy Flamer (+5) -- Multi-Melta (+15)
It's purely an experimental idea, the codex is almost done, so I dunno if I want to throw it in.

An interesting idea, but I don't think it's necessary, or that it really fits. Penitent Engines full the obligatory "Walker" role for the army, and is technically an assault walker as is.

Yeah. Hrm.
Was pondering having the penitent engines only unlocked with a priest again, or perhaps with the high priestess.

An interesting idea, but I don't think it's necessary, or that it really fits. Penitent Engines full the obligatory "Walker" role for the army, and is technically an assault walker as is. Reds I think it could work. This is provided the penitent engine is more of a MC which she is turning it into. I mean eldar have war walkers and wraithlords. Of course one is more weak and range oriented and the other is more melee oriented. Maybe the new walker for SoB would have a lot of shooty. I can imagine the twin linked heavy flamer being really nasty. Then again you do have the immolators though. I know you guys have gotten beyond it but i still hold hope for sisters in artificer armor or with +5 inv. saves added to their armor saves or something similar. I think they'd sound really nice and would look really nice in all that ornate armor. Perhaps we could have constructs similar to dreadnoughts or wraithguard/wraithlords for sisters. Basically the soul of a dead martyred or esp. devout sister who has died is able to still fight in some construct. Basically have it similar to a wraithguard or something. Dunno if you'd approve of that though. Perhaps sisters could use more teleporting tech, 'divine intervention' or a drop pod of sorts. Considering they only have rhinos it'd be useful. A bigger or more durable troop transport is a must. I think you have one in your list though. Could use some newly made weapons that are flame based or something. Perhaps a sort of melta weapon with small blast or more weapons with 2d6 penetration. Preferably sisters could use some decent anti-tank or at least improve the anti-tank they have. Maybe even boost normal sisters to a BS 4 base unit rather than BS 3 which is what i think they have. They could definitely use boosts though. Maybe have a different system for faith powers or different ones. Perhaps they have a system similar to dark eldar's pain tokens. Basically for every enemy you kill they get more zealous or for every leadership check they pass that they take from losses makes them more fearless or determined.

Err, normal sisters ARE BS4 base. Do you mean WS4? Na i just didn't know for sure. Where've you been anyway? It's boring without you. Eh i don't think you like me too much. Whatever it's fine i guess. At least we're getting along. Hmm what could sisters use. I suppose other things 40k has are bikes and skimmers. I think you mentioned using bikes. Maybe some anti-psyker equipment since they are witch hunters sort of. Probably not so much anymore. I do like the idea of them having melta-lance. A proficiency with jetpacks for seraphim would be nice. Dunno what bonus to give them for that though. The SoB leader should be plenty powerful or possibly give a lot of bonuses to the army. I still say the sisters should have a power similar to an orbital bombardment with a name like apocalypse or apocalypse barrage or something. Possibly give repentia other weapon choices or give them furious charge (it would still add to their str) as well as stubborn and possibly fearless if they don't already have some of those. Re-rolls for leadership type abilities as well as ones to hit or to wound. Faith powers or other abilities similar to it would be fine. A more armored transport with guns would be nice (like the razorback only sister-ified). Possibly an option to have sisters vehicles explode in flames when destroyed so they either always explode when destroyed or always cause more damage than str 3. This may just be for the flame type vehicles though and not ones like transports.

On Dakka, it was suggested that I try to create a sort of MBT Walker, to replace the LR Vengeance. Here's my attempt at such. If it were to be put in, it would replace the LR Vengeance, which would be removed from the army list. I am not sure if I want to do this, but it is a good thought experiment. The basic concept for the looks of this this walker is the Battletech Rifleman, but with feet closer to power armor boots, a slightly more rounded surface somewhat mimicking the feel of Sororitas power armor, and no radar dish on top. The Purgatus Rocket System is on the bumps on either side of hte centrally located cockpit, the storm bolter is on the nose of the cockpit (essentially right in front of the sororitas pilot). It is a sort of MBT Walker, a walker dedicated to having large amounts of shooty instead of close combat. In order to enhance this feel, the vehicle does not have any DCCW, although it does have a natural strength of six (I did not see a reason why the vehicle wouldn't be able to do more damage in close combat than, say, a scout sentinel). In fluff, there's three options for the pilot: 1 is similar to that of a dread, that the pilots are aging veteran Sisters, linked into the machine in life support systems so that they can continue to serve the Emperor even as their bodies start to degrade due to old age... 2 is more in line with the titans, in that only those Sisters of strong enough willpower and sense of self can properly fuse with the machine. The final one is that in order to be able to pilot it, a Sister needs to undergo surgery to have neural implants similar to that of the Black Carapace of the Astartes or the Mind Impulse Unit used by the Mechanicus. This is also irreversible, but means that the Sisters can occasionally leave the machine (if it becomes too damaged for example, or while it is being repaired, or when they need to spend time praying and training, etc). Personally I'm leaning towards the third one. Points: 165 Rules: Walker Armor: F14 S12 R11 Stats: Bs4, Ws4, S6, I4, At1 Equipment: Smoke Launchers, Searchlight, Twin Bolt Cannon, nose-mounted Storm Bolter -- Twin Bolt Cannon: R60", S7 AP4 Heavy 4 Twin-Linked Nay exchange Twin Bolt Cannon for: [Unsure on the price for these two]-- Two Twin-Linked Melta Cannons (as on Devil Dog) -- Two Twin-Linked Inferno Cannons (as on Hellhound) May purchase Purgatus Rocket System (30 pts) -- Purgatus Rocket System: R24", S5 AP5, Heavy 1 Large Blast, Twin-Linked, Ignores Cover Saves, One Use Only May upgrade nose Storm Bolter to Heavy Flamer or Heavy Bolter for +5 points.

I'm more leaning towards the second choice where it takes willpower and in my opinion faith or something. An aging sister sounds like it takes too much from a dread's lore. I dunno about the third choice.
So this will basically have the same firepower as a hydra flak tank with other options? It sounds ok but not particularly awesome. It has a ton of front armor though and since it's a walker it'll usually be hit in the front. Sounds like a lot of armor for a walker but the shooting is a little wanting. Then again for the points armor 14 is alright. So what this is a light vehicle hunter, good vehicle or heavy infantry killer or a light infantry killer. I'd probably use the melta cannons actually. You get 2 and they're twin linked so what's not to like.

Actually it's more like a leman russ exterminator with +12" range, as it's firing larger bolt shells (which theoretically are accurate over longer distances than regular shells-- compare the heavy stubber with the heavy bolter)) instead of normal cannon shells. But it doesn't have sponsons, and its forward weapon is only a storm bolter, heavy bolter, or heavy flamer instead of also being able to upgrade to a lascannon.

A hydra flak tank basically has 2 twin linked autocannons with a 60" range. Other than special abilities and a worse BS it's pretty much the same but you are also about right.
The idea of 2 twin-linked inferno cannons is pretty sick. Considering twin linked flamers hit automatically and actually hit everything twice as is you essentially hit a bunch of models 4 times. That could easily decimate an entire squad or group of boyz by itself.
Your regular cannon doesn't bother me but the idea of 2 twin linked melta cannons or 2 twin linked inferno cannons is pretty sick and nasty. I mean an average hellhound with a heavy bolter (or heavy flamer) costs about 115 pts. This is a 12 front armor and side armor vehicle. I think you should probably downgrade the front armor to 13 and make the side armor better but that's just me. I mean i think even think the best dreadnoughts are only about front armor 13. Then again those upgrades could cost a pretty penny so i dunno. Armor 14 is still probably too much for front armor.
Yeah i know it's lacking in the firepower department but unless somebody somehow gets near the rear armor with meltaguns or something after deepstriking then they'll usually hit its front armor esp. in melee with it being considered a walker. Leman russes can get pretty expensive once you add sponsons and a hull mounted heavy bolter or lascannon. In fact i think with just a battle cannon and a lascannon a leman russ still may cost more points than your shooty dread.
To me something doesn't scream sisters unless it has flamers, meltaguns or chainsaws going everywhere insanely.
