You do such nice and clean paintjobs I feel like your models would blend in seamlessly in the guard codex

What a classic Field Army. The colours are so crisp... How did you achieve it?

Hey everyone, once again its been while since last time but since then I've came up with a crazy ideas after hearing about the dkok army list in fall of Orpheus book. Basically I'm gonna take the dkok list as my primary detachment allied with main IG codex. Reasoning being is because in case you havent heard of the dkok grenadier unit in that list they're awesome. Fluff wise I think they perfectly capture the feel of the Kasrkin companies of cadia. The Kasrkin are as crazy as the dkok in lot of ways and I feel the stats would do justice to the fluff of the unit. Since IG codex stormtroopers don't add up to the Kasrkin fluff in my option. So I'm ordering the book to have the list and stay tuned cause the Kasrkin are gonna start getting ready to take to the eye.lol

congrats on keeping the momentum! I know first hand how hard is to paint all those guardsmen, but the finish pieces make you feel accomplished.

Such a smooth paint job, that's ridiculously good. I love the last guy on the rights fatigues.. they have a cell shaded look about them, would be epic to do a whole army like that haha.

Excellent work as always! The WIP shot of the sergeant with the new paints is looking good--hardly looks different from the older paints so far... Have you found a color in the new range that will match the armor plate edge highlights?

Hey guys, thanks alot.
@trooper: About the highlight on the amour, I'm thinking it ain't poppin since I took these pics on my android cause its the same paint I've used for the last dozen or so guys. 8 megapixels compared to the 12 megapixels I've taken the previous shots with on my sony cybershot. But I have been thinking about going over the that highlight (loren green) with another Hightlight of Elysian green or Straken Green. If you look at my last kasrkin guys, the flamer one in particular, his is painted in that manner. elysian green over the loren green on the top armour edges. What do you think?

So I'm back with a lil something to keep the wheel rollin, Here's another Line/Veteran Sgt. for the army Uploaded with ImageShack.comUploaded with ImageShack.comUploaded with ImageShack.comUploaded with ImageShack.comI really liked how this guy turned out.....until I spray the purity seal onto close.lol. There's some slight surface rough up due to that but I don't think it'll be that bad. I wanted his pose to give the impression he is barking orders and ready to put the smack down on anyone who don't wanna listen (friend or foe alike.) Hold the line on top of the neck of the foe for the Emperor! ...and some pics of the WIPs. Uploaded with ImageShack.comGot something special I'm working on right now that I'd like to share with you all soon. It has to do with magnets and tin..... Hopefully I have it ready for the next update. Thanks for looking. @trooper: I agree with highlight scheme....but for now I'll do the army as it is already just to keep it uniform but thanks for the suggestion. I appreciate it.

Such a crisp, tidy army is unprecedented. You have outdone even GW yet again. Do you think you will do another army? Tau or Eldar maybe, I think you would do them justice

Hey everyone, I'm back with an update and a public service announcement too. In my last post I mentioned something about tin and well I'm here to show what I've come up with in order to replace my foam army transport cases..... TINS AND MAGNETIZED GUARDSMEN!!! (Look at that Griffon...) Uploaded with ImageShack.comOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH................ Uploaded with ImageShack.comAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH...... Uploaded with ImageShack.com(HOW DOES IT DO THAT!??!....) Uploaded with ImageShack.com.....AND WAIT THERES MORE..... Uploaded with ImageShack.com....the method behind that madness..... Uploaded with ImageShack.comI got the tins from a empty cookie container. Used 1/16 x 1/4 dia magnets off ebay for cheap with superglue under the bases and used Army Painter Army Green spray can for paint job followed by purity seal. Luckly I found a place online that sells the exact same tins at e-cookietins.com. I also plan on stenciling info on the cans ala the lasgun charge pack for the dice set that GW sells. A lot more convenient that foam trays I say and cheaper overall as well. Just as safe too in my opinion. Onto the PSA..... Earlier in the week I had spent time painting a model and was quite satisfied with it.....until I proceeded to spray the purity seal on it.... Should of saw it coming since my last sgt kinda suffered some of the effects of humidity and considering its been raining out here alot more than when I sprayed the Sgt. the humidity of course would be worse...... Uploaded with ImageShack.comSo I finally realized I needed a better more reliable alternative to aerosol spray can varnish. Problem was that I liked the finish the the GW purity seal gave when it did work correctly, so I did some research and started hearing that Vallejo made a brush satin varnish that people said finished just like GWs purity seal. So I got it and although I don't have pictures of the model I applied it to at the moment I can tell you its works just as good if not better finish than the GW purity seal and alot cheaper as well. I tried out their thinner medium as well and I can honestly say it works visibly better than plain distilled water. I didn't think anything would work better than water but I'm finding my self using less coats and having more control since the paint flows in a more controllable manner. Uploaded with ImageShack.comExcited lately . Been getting things done at a improved rate while keeping the paint job quality the same . Thanks for looking. P.S. Oh by the way I have my ol converted painted Marbo up for sale on ebay if anyone is interested. www.ebay.com/itm/Imperial-Guard-converted-Guardsman-Sly-Marbo-painted-/161073223436?pt=Games_US&hash=item2580b6570cUploaded with ImageShack.com
