Sorry for the late reply Major, the Faces are VERY simple, something I've never tried before. 1- Very watered down Bestial Brown wash 2- Either Badab Black, Gryphonne Sepia or Baal Red wash. And that's it! And then I just do the eyes as normal. Those faces are just 2 WASHES!!!!!!!!!!!! holy crap! I'm loving these, do more please... Yeah I was a little shocked at the results myself when I first gave it a go, it's a good way to do Guard faces. And thanks, the Sentinel should arrive somewhen today so look out for an update! Daniel

Well look who decided to arrive!... I've been waiting in ALL day for this, I didn't even go upstairs for anything incase I missed it.....and he decides to show up late in the afternoon! Anyway, this is my first ever Sentinel and I have to say that I love the kit! It's fantastic, I've always liked the look of the Sentinel but now I've built one I like it even more. I'm glad you can fully articulate the legs, makes for some great poses (but as you might be able to tell I went for boring) He's just being primed so more updates later tonight hopfeully. Daniel

Intrigued is one way to put it... frothing at the mouth with barely restrained anticipation would be another

Well here you go He's pretty much done, just need to tidy the base up, and add a bit more definition to the legs. Hope you like, Daniel EDIT- I'm not actually too happy with these pictures, I'll try and get some better ones up tonight EDIT 2- Edited the pictures to darker, but more realistic ones.

I may need to change my pants! I have to say your army is coming along quite nicely! The sentinel fits in perfectly and the paint job it pretty good. Major Downer

Haha thanks Major, I am really not happy with the pictures though. Trust me, the white of the Armour is MUCH better in real life, I think it's just the fact the white background reflected too much light.

I know what you mean cosmiccastaway, I was trying all sorts of coloured paper today at work when i was taking my pictures but in the end i just stuck with white, Have you tied maybe black paper? Your army might stand out more, Just a suggestion.

I've changed the pictures, they're more realistic, if a little darker.
I'll try and sort it all tomorrow, but for now they'll do, I'm too cold to do anything else!

mmmm pure unadulterated deliciousness!
I think the best thing about this army is that it'll really stand out as unique thanks to both the quality of the painting and the unusual colour scheme used.

Cheers Lupus there will be more to come soon! But first I need to decide what to get next, I don't have a huge budget. I only need 5 more Guardsmen, that will give me 2 whole squads. So I was going to just get another of the 5 Man snap fit Cadians I started this thread with. Quick and easy to bulk the squads out. That's only a Fiver, and I'm tempted to get another Sentinel just because I like the so much . Or I could just put the money together and get a Heavy Weapons Squad.....thoughts?

Depends, heavy weapons are interesting to assemble and paint, and give you loads of bits too. I actually might be tempted to get a command squad, as there are loads of conversion oppurtunities there, and would make good painting as well!

Well I went with the Command Squad (purely because that's all they had in the shop ) So without further ado Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls here they are.... 'I'm too cool for school...' 'I will never die!' 'Look how high I can hold it mum!' 'Check it oouuuttt' *Silence* They'll be sprayed soon, just need to tidy up the mould lines. I think the bloke holding the helmet with his lasgun slung will be swapped with the medic I've already painted, and he'll take his place within the actual Guardsmen Squad. Cosmic

small update... Basic colours on some of the squad. My White Spray has gone a bit pourous for some reason, and all the washes I've applied so far have just soaked in and they've not gone glossy like they usually go, but I'm getting there. The commander does seem to have a bit too much eye shadow so that will be corrected! Cosmic

Yet another small update, 3 memebers have been pretty much completed, just some highlights on the bags or straps... Bad photo, but I was rushing. Cosmic
