Not good enough, you were born good enough.
Personally, I think that cigar would be going to far, it looks epic as it is. Although, I'm not liking those knee pads, not sure why, I just don't think they suit him, although I think it will look better painted.

Looking really good. I think cross-draw holsters (right-handed holster on left hip and vice versa) would look better but that's just a matter of taste.
As for the knife I think it would look good either strapped to his boot or handle down on his left shoulder.
What colour beret is he getting?

Empirespy... yup.. i was thinking of improving his kneepads to be slightly more complex, but i wanted a rather down-to-earth standard GI look to this guy.... no fancy un-nessasary kit for this guy... plus i cant now... ive already started painting him lol.. @ Egon... i know from real life experience, cross draw belt mounted holsters are nearly impossible to draw from...try it... imagine your holsters are mounted on your belt on either side of your hips... now reach both your hands across your body and try to grab the pretend guns from their holsters... it dont happen.... so i made them standard draw im gonna make his beret brown i think... similar to ranger berets.. or may look better black with blue badge like standard class A dress uniform style. @ cosmic ... cheers mate... im very proud of the way the vulture has turned out... the conversion has totally changed the valks profile whilst keeping a similar 40k flyer style... against the valk my vulture looks like a slimmed down gunship... currently making another one to pair it with. @ 3ff3ct and Captainroberts ... cheers guys ok... so i did have a thread about my unique EDF minitures like my EOD guy and combat swimmer... but i seem to have lost it somewhere on the board... but i dont care anyway, so im gonna put this up here where it belongs... heres the finished EDF HALO jumper (high-altitude-low-opening) im really happy with the paint on this... took only 2 hours in all... his feet are magnetised so at some point i will make it so he can be mounted on the rear door of a valk ready to jump out. sadly thats all for tonight... tommorrow evening i should have had two of my ogryns finished .... be prepared for giant fem-ogryn boobs

The paint job on the HALO jumper is, as usual, stunning. Only thing that I could criticise (although it's not really something you did wrong) is that he looks really builky. Almost too bulky, but I'm not sure if it's the angle or not as the side view of the jumper doesn't look as bulky.

@ Egon... i know from real life experience, cross draw belt mounted holsters are nearly impossible to draw from...try it... imagine your holsters are mounted on your belt on either side of your hips... now reach both your hands across your body and try to grab the pretend guns from their holsters... it dont happen.... Depends on the holsters, but yeay, I know what you mean. But as I said, it looks cooler. Bill Hickock managed quite good though. Love the HALO jumper btw. The only thing is that his visor looks to plastic. Plastic as in "painted toy" and not as in "plastic visor of a real helmet". Might just be the flash and he looks dead awesome anyhow. @pyro: HALO jumpers are often very bulky. They need lots of stuff that has to be secured close to their bodies or else the winds will rip them off. So yeah, they do look rather pregnant.

very well said egon, the bulk of the halo jumpers is mounted on their front, so they carry their backpacks and weapons on the front because the parachute takes precident on their backs. as for the visor, i gloss any surface that is made of glass or could be shiney, like lenses etc... so when the photo is taken the flash tends to make it look odd sometimes... i guess in this case it did... although looking at it face to face it looks ok to me... maybe a bit blue... i could be tempted to change the colour there... ok i promised hot ogryn boobs and here they are! heres the 360 of the model herself... she dont have a background story as of yet or a name, but im sure il think up something in the future. also the exploited ogryn who is tricked into carrying the troops spare ammo and guns.. thats all for tonight folks c's &c's are always welcome!

Wow, those are amazing. And terrifying. Mostly amazing. Those Ogryn Boobs should be counted as an extra CCW.
Two questions, though: Are they made out of the fantasy Ogres? What did you use for the Ripper Gun?

Awesome as usual. The HALO jumper puts my HALO Division to shame. LOL.
I think the ogryns look great but I'm starting to need some fluff for this none aligned force. ;-)

Your Vendetta conversion made me think of the aircraft from this... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob_xbmpcPx0&feature=relatedI know there is a drop tauros, but a drop motorcycle is pretty cool too... maybe counts as rough rider? Anyways, absolutely loving your work, really like the ogryns as the male one doesn't look so comedy.. while the female one is simply golden! I'm also very much in awe of the Basalisk.. I really like the additional scanners and kit bags etc.. keep it up!

haha nice one tread, i forgot that scene od bolt... the styrofoam cup that falls over from the explosion in the distance make me laugh... i guess my vulture conversion does look quite like that... but i dont think that drop bikes are very my armies style (although i cannot primise i wont lol) talking of my vulture conversion... HERE IT IS its lacking insignia as of yet... mainly because i still haven found the right style of what markings i want in my army... when i do il repost detailed pics but heres the finished paintjob. i wanted it to look dirty and used and much like the US marines super cobras in a grey plain paintjob... although a touch darker shade. the forgeworld punisher cannons are sadly very permanant... i did want to make the pylon weapons detachable but the resin would not let me glue very well... the things were dripping with mold release and i tried to clean them up as good as i could, but the glue would not take, so they are perma pinned in place. this is the beginning of the darksiders air attachment... i am currently working on a darksider plasma vet squad...with shotguns, kroot soldier and rhino grenadier... these guys will be finished sculpted by the weekend hopefully.

That looks amazing. I don't know if you have said in the past but what did you use to get the metal looks of the motors and guns. I have tried to get that look with some of my stuff but have yet to get anything I am happy with.

its just boltgun metal, coated with black wash.... thats all i use... sometimes il highlight it by drybrushing chainmail over it.... for the engines an added wash of sepia wash gives it the browned greasy look.... and for rusty i give small washes of old citadel bown wash, ogryn flesh and devlen mud.

Probably nothing new but these are some of the best near-real world guard conversions anybody will ever see, I think. If the whole army is up to that standard you should really enter it in some competitions because I don't doubt it will be popular.
