Truly superb! I wasn't take by the tail at first but it's starting to grow on me!

presenting an almost finished wip of how the darksiders will look... theres still some sculpting to do, theres only 4 of them finished so far... but here they are so far   also been working on another platform for the modular tank idea... presenting my version of the atlas recovery vehicle...(i know its meant to be leman russ hull, but this seems better for me)    |

The only way I can describe my amazement at that atlas is with expletives.
So I will just say that it is lovely and I bet it will look even better when you've painted it ;D
The same goes with the Darksiders, they're just jaw-droppingly awesome!

i was wondering what i could use the manticore platform for, then it hit me... a crane..
its a really easy conversion... i recently obtained about 300 assorted styrene tubes/rods/square tubes from hongkong to aid my scratch building...super cheap i might add... aswell as stealing a pallets worth of 1mm 2mm and 5mm foamalux sheets and offcuts... i got enough here to build a city (40k scale lol)
i think im gonna be scratchbuilding alot more now

I love the way the arms are movable that is sweet. Very nice job. I all honesty I would love to see you make a cityscape game board. I think that would be really sick.

The darksiders I am still working on, I can only sculpt one maybe two bits of each per evening... the atlas too me about 3 hours in all... it really helps when you got the right conversion parts to start with... the styrene practically makes itself and fits together perfectly... my only thing is wastage trying to cut stuff perfectly flush.. so I got a cutting tool on order to help with that

On the rhino soldier: maybe a hoof foot from the tau range would fit better instead of a boot foot. great conversion!

@ teku18 ... i had thought about making parts and cating my own stuff to sell but for the time being im happy to keep my spare time a hobby and not a second job... if i were to make anything it would be a propper multi part ogryn set to sell... im sure i could turn out a multi part resin kit for a fraction of what gw sell theres for... and im sure they would sell well, just not really something i really want to do at the moment... i would however consider selling one off conversion (without paint) to sell based on what i already make for myself... if i had the right parts i could easily churn out the atlas conversion to sell... for me, thats pretty easy.
cosmic asked me before about making some true scale marines and in the long run, i had to turn it down, i had made one (sorry cosmic, i forgot to show you) but the time that took could never justify cost and even making just that one was fully soul destroying ... theres no way i could make many without hanging myself from boredom... i like the guard conversions best i think... much more my style
but if anyone wants an atlas conversion crane... il be happy to knock one up for a few quid... im going to get another manticore in a few weeks, so il have a spare platform... and i mean the changable platform, not the whole tank btw.

@teku... I think the punisher cannons are in the apocalypse 2 book... if you can't find it I can check it out and email you a pdf of it...
@ maknight ... balls, its stuff like that that annoys me lol... why didn't I think of that... a round stompy hoof foot would had been perfect... Hmmmm... il chop his legs off and sculpt fatter legs and feet then... glad I haven't started painting it yet... cheers for that... great idea and constructive for my benefit...
You know I'm mostly open to suggestions guys... think of any other xenos types I can add?... unusual one from games and films?, that would fit in my army?

if you're lokking for other aliens, try fantasy, they have lots of possible 40k races, I suggest the skaven, lizardmen, beastmen..

I would love to see a proper avian race (I know, I know, Kroot are kinda avian), or canine race. As a possible idea for a future squad, maybe a squad of attack/tracker beasts and a handler? I'd love to see your take on it.
