Very nice stuff ashot. The basilisk crew look good but slightly different to your regular guys. Was that intentional? Anyway, I'm looking forward to more!

yeah that was definitly intentional.. during my research i noticed that modern us soldiers that work artillery dont like to be encumbered with ammo pouches, rigs etc... but still have to wear the standard balistic armour and helmet... so i decided to give these two body armour (only issued to EDF artillery troops) standard ballistic helmets and lightweight uniform (has no leg pockets) ... but dont worry, if it comes down to it they can always retrive their fighting gear from the packs attached to the railings and fight..

Ok then. That was kind of what I had been expecting but I wasn't really sure.
Have you done any more work on the delta/ranger guys? And is there any chance of a group shot soon? Thanks.

ive painted the kroot from the ranger team and half painted the rest of them... they take ages to finish... i think i put nearly 6 hours painting into the first ranger darksider i pictured before...
as for a group shot... ive been thinking about doing one for a while now, just want to finish a few more squads and il be ready to display them as a whole army... im not finished though from my initial plan... still much more to buy and finish... although im quite tempted at starting a chaos army at some point in the future.

Incredible work as usual, I've given up on trying to find imperfection. I will however say that the Kimbo Slice Ogryn in missing his gold chain with the fist pendant ;-)
Either way excellent stuff, the Basilisk crew are awesome with their light weight uniforms and packaged equipment.
PS. A chaos army ? :-) could be great. I always saw you as ork or tau kind of guy for your next project. Mind you all that desert painting would probably annoy you for your second project.
Anyhow I'm off . Time for a long put off meeting with my bed and my hand

Both of those are fantastic. Really love the little touches and the conversions are good enough to be made into it's own plastic kit from Forgeworld. Weathering on the Ogryn Tranny such as the hand painted edge wear looks fantastic. It would be hard to find one particular model to enter in GG in your army.

Awesomes. How do you do the rivets, is there an efficient method? I have one of the m113 models assembled but unpainted, it's currently a chimera but I'd like to make it more convincingly "40K" then stick on a hydra turret.

nah dont buy rivits... why would you when they are so easy to make...
i ordererd 100 x 500mm lenghts of random assorted plasticard rod... with a scapel i hand cut the rod into 1mm flat circles... with a sharp new scapel blade i lightly stab the rivits, so they attach to the bade, dab them in a small pool of superglue then touch them into place... takes ages but its suprisingly theraputic... the ogryn chimera took 278 rivets in total ...

not a problem...
the way i do stubbled faces is to do a 50/50 mix of the paint i used for the face and codex grey... i also thin it down, but not too thin that it acts like a wash and lightly dab it onto the areas where stubble would be... if you feel it needs to be darker... then add a very light wash of black wash into the crevases of the face where stubble apperas, just to darken the area..
in other news... i could have just made the worlds best hydra stand in... also the EDF can declare a victory last night over an imperial space marine force... stay tuned for more on that later

When I look at other people's stuff, it's usually way better than mine. To prevent myself from throwing all my models away, I look at stuff that has a worse paintjob than mine. I find myself looking at alot of crappy models after looking at this thread, but I CAN'T STOP!
Not sure if that made any sense, but that was a compliment.

@kobrakommander - it was a made up chapter using a pedro kanto stand in... list... pedro 10 assault marines in rhino 2, 5 man tac squads in rhinos 2, 5 man tac squads land raider crusader with 5 termys and a termy charachter landspeeder with mm the land raider was a female dog to pop... i used ccs + moO griffon melta vets in chim plasma vets in chim ogryns in chim lrbt demolisher 7 ratlings ( they got toasted) vets with gl's and mortar vendetta was a great game,no objectives just standard deathmatch for 6 turns end score 3/1 ended up with full ccs 2 chims 2 half man vet squads griffon vendetta he had left pedro 7 marines 4 termys immobilised rhino man of the match lone grenade launcher dude (rest of squad was annihlated) that finished off the landraider (glancing hit on last hull point) just before he got my ogryn squad in range of the flamers. syphon - nope... the EDF are a independant fighting force on the planet Eden in the far eastern fringe.... they severed all ties with the imperium ... so no aquillas here dude (cheers ivory ) @ DADCRO- thanks dude, i know what your saying... and il take that compliment and remember it...i guess though that my edf project is proof that i have ALOT of spare time (when work and xbox duty calls).. another good thing about having a long distance relationship... i need to get out more... talking of getting out... I GET MY DARK VENGENCE BOXSET IN 40 MINUTES!!!! ... midnight release ... but shhhhhh dont be telling... well karma tells me not to post without pics so heres this weeks projects finished first up... vet squad with 3 grenade launchers and a mortar... this is a stand off squad im going to use to harrass anyone that gets near my deployment ODA TF 122 trains in the mountains beyond the northern desert that connects to the inhospitable deadlands at the nothern pole... they specialise in mountinous terrain and specialise in mortars... i gave them beards and pakols (afhgan pudding hats) with the intention of looking like US special forces in afghanistan.. for those who have played the latest medal of honour , they are based on the guys in that... otherwise google the image 'special forces cowboy' and you will see what i mean. next up... autocannon team... the loaders are magnetised to the base and can be removed for wound purposes... the legs are the new kneeling legs from kromlech. edit... just noticed i havent sculpted the hydration packs on the loaders.. balls. next up... something ive been promising myself for a while... got both of them cheap off of ebay ... £10 for the hb , £13 for the lascannon one... took me one evening to paint up... and im super happy with the results. the camo nets are brass etch modern desert camo nets from 'accurate armour' a scottish resin company specialsing in 1/35 modern and ww2 vehicles... their stuff is top notch and very expensive...saw their stuff at a stand at the war and peace show in july... the camo nets cost £10 (you get 2 5cm x 11cm nets in one pack) ... when i brought these i also got 5 1/35 scale L119a1's (british dmr's)(£9) with acogs which il be putting on a sniper vet squad soon.

Absolutely fantastic, as usual. Glad to hear you've been playing some matches.
I was criticised for adding scopes to my GLs but now you've done it looks like my innovations have paid off.
Any chance of a group pic ?
