ok just putting a few pics of my most recent activity... work has been super busy for the last few weeks and i havent really had time to do as much as i wanted tbh... and im well behind shedule anyway... i got super bored with how my chimeras looked againt my ultra hitech moderised guardsmen so i upgraded the chimeras turrets with remote controlled multi laser turrets with hunterkiller missle pods attached too... im waiting on a whole shed loads of bitz to make the rest of my chimeras with identical turrets... 5 in all so far. closeups... each one takes me about an hour and a half to make, and the one pictured rotates, and im hoping to give the next ones elevation when i can get hold of some plasticard rods. next up is my second warthog, ive decided to head in another direction on this one comparedd to the bare, normal one from before... this one is more like a special forces scout vehicle like the LR wimik ... all the other warthogs will look like this one from now on. i also have half finished my first melta vet squad based on the lightsiders camo scheme.. heres the only one i have finished so far.. my demo guy next up is my master of ordanance stand in... decided to change his title to fit with the modern army theme, so now hes a tactical air controller, controlling bomb runs from fast movers onto enemy troops. next are the next two of my commisar stand ins... these guys are brothers, they attained the same role and rank even though they do not get along... the worst of enemies on the same side. lastly, the female guardsman i sculpted ... not my best painting, but then again, it is 6 in the morning

Everything is looking really good! I envy your GS skill so much. I hope you are going to do more on the bases. I think the red lib-stiff and nail polish is a bit over the top. Maybe dull it slightly? The controlled turret heads for the chimera looks so good. Maybe you should do something to the heavy bolter as well?

Great minds think alike. I did the exact same thing with the warthogs in my Space Wolves army a few years back. Looks great!

Damn realistic for airsoft. I'm mc lurvin the m4s If I'm correct only one is an M4..... I'm pretty sure Ninja's rifle is an M16 with a for grip...... I want to get into airsofting...... Although I think i would rather go with the SLR as a favoured rifle instead of the over publicised American Rifles...... Anyhow, back on topic, your work never fails to amaze me The use of modern looking equipment is a nice touch and that female guardsman looks pretty darn amazing would be an interesting take on marbo

Well i'd say you ex looks way more feminin.. In my opinion you sculpt is very nice, it is just the broad shoulders and the hip/breast ratio is a bit off, paintwise it is quite nice too, same with the very heroic posture.. Only constructive critizime here.. Ahh airsoft.. Got way to much "real" military stuff when I was in the sand, so I tend to play more tourny style games.. Pic related. imageshack.us/photo/my-images/803/img8920z.jpg/Still all very good fun..

@ Mael- Well to be honest..... I would be better of with an SA80/ LSW as their the weapons I actually know how to use...... Oh well....I'll deal with that problem when I buy an airsoft weapon..... I actually like the look of the Spetsnaz modification of the AK-74 aswell

Please tell me you were inspired by my Marbo's demo charge! But seriously, were you? Or did you think of that yourself?

You are just evil looking! That's kinda the point.. But most of the gear is because it is easier to play in/with..

thanks for allthe nice comments guys... more to come soon! @ zeke ... you didnt happen to sell them all as one force on ebay did you? if so.. thats where i first saw them... and what gave me the idea. @ Commissar Col. Mael ... yeah sure is... that day at sterling event i spent 5 hours doing vehicle stops to find contraband weapons aboud local 4x4's ... ive given up airsoft, but i will always still enjoy roleplay milsim. @ The Yorkshire Warhawk (Dave) ... correct... but i really wouldnt go for the SLR... compared to the majority of rifles, they are way to heavy to do everyday skirmishes with and lack all the rails we take for granted on modern weapons. saying that, i did play a 24 hour game with nothing but a full weight GPMG and that sucked... i prefer gas m4's or systema ptw's. @ krasimirova ... yeah i know what your saying about her figure... she did look much more hourglass until i hid the body join with the battle belt... and i also did cut about 2 mm off the width of the cadian body and i arched the back and protuded the butt... but its hard to tell lol... and as for the tourney kit... not to my taste, i relish the realism tbh ... and we normally take the urine out of people who wear fullface protection... i am literally the only guy i know who hasnt had a tooth shot out. @ DadCRO hehe... you may have inspired me.. maybe @ Trooper One-Nine-Seven-Four haha... you may have inspired dadcro... maybe @ 3ff3ct ... yeah i really wish i had gone down that route... ive made 4 so far and each is just a tiny bit different from the last... i might keep the master copy and try to get it replicated with resin...

@trooper and ninja: I thought of that myself. I've only joined warhammer very recently, and joined the forums more recently. I've never seen Trooper's demo charges.

Well, you know what you have to do then... Go look through my picture thread and find them. I think they're somewhere around the middle of the thread. Ninja: How do you do the camo effect on your mini's fatigues? It looks really sweet and realistic!

its pretty simple actually..
ive made a custom 'foliage green' colour, which is a mix of catachan green, space wolves grey and a touch of black...
i paint the fatiges with a base of the foliage green black wash over that then dry brush the foliage green over that, then with a bit of white, then lighter again once thats done i just use a fine brush with very watery skull white and dot and dash the acu pattern onto it... i did attemt to make a full 3 colour acu pattern, but it looked like crap.... two colour effect is much easier and the watered down skull white adds depth to the pattern.

well im having a weekend dedicated to tank and sentinal painting... im hoping to get a fair bit done if not all... thats 4 sentinals / LR / LR demolisher / bane wolf / 4 chimeras / 2 warthog buggys and hopefully if i get the next batch of bitz come in... my scratch built manticore... and heres a sneak peek... im not really near finishing it to be honest... what you see is just the basic shape... got loads of details to add, as well as another set of wirlwind missles to add to the main launcher... and the bolter sponson as well as the armour details too... 50% done i say to be honest i doubt im gonna get even half of it finished, but il be happy if i get the undercoating and airbrushing done, then i can spend the week highlighting and finishing. im building a chimera and a bane wolf tonight... so thats keeping me busy.... complex little kit this banewolf is... and those aquillas are gonna be feckin hard to remove!
