Dude your work is just inspirational.
By sentinels do you mean warthogs or sentinels ?
Ps. When can we see the darksiders ?

thanks man...
by sentinals i mean both the warthog buggys and the walkers... i plan to have a warthog squadron for both the lightsiders and the darksiders.
im going to finish the lightsiders first as they are the main bulk of my infantry and core of my army... the darksiders are going to be all veteren squads and there will be alot less of them compared to the lightsiders. the darksiders will be a more elite and fast moving set of troops darksiders will also have very different vehicles quad bikes (rough riders) warthogss (sentinals) wheels apc's (chimeras) perhaps hovercraft (chimeras) accompanied by gunships. (vultures)
darksiders will not utilise tanks
tbh its still a little jumbled around atm, i have almost all the bitz needed to make every trooper in my army, but have not even scratched the surface of making and converting all of them...
so the darksiders will not be appearing that soon... a few months is a fair estimate.
overall im going for a full company and full troop lists as a full collection then from that i can pick and choose units for points games. though im leaning towards an appocolype army because i feel its better to aim high.

Couldn't agree more, I'm in a similar situation. Got lots of vets, lots of infantry and no tanks ( yet... ) .
Are you going to use the E.O.D model you made ? If so what as ? I've always been keen to make one.

Great looking models. The camoflage looks sharp. I really like the build you did for the nightsider (NVGs looked right on) and was surprised when you turned the warthog into a model that belongs on a tabletop.
The female guardman is a hard go and you were limited by what you had to work from. The thing that breaks it for me is the red nails. The spot colour really attracts attention to the big cadian man hand. Aesthetics aside a professional soldier on deployment shouldn't be worried too much about painting her nails.
The engineer/ EOD specialist approaching the missile is my favorite; the additional body armour you sculpted and the scene you created really made the model.

its pretty simple actually.. ive made a custom 'foliage green' colour, which is a mix of catachan green, space wolves grey and a touch of black... i paint the fatiges with a base of the foliage green black wash over that then dry brush the foliage green over that, then with a bit of white, then lighter again once thats done i just use a fine brush with very watery skull white and dot and dash the acu pattern onto it... i did attemt to make a full 3 colour acu pattern, but it looked like crap.... two colour effect is much easier and the watered down skull white adds depth to the pattern. It gives a really awesome effect. Some of the best camo I think I have ever seen on 40K minis.

Seriously awesome! I might use a version of your NVG troopers greenstuffing for my troops with Carapace. Excellent work!

just a tiny update... brought some ogres yesterday to convert into ogryns... this is the basic look, still in need of more pouches, shoulderpads , boots need rounding off and adding laces... knee pads... but you get the idea... i wasnt happy about how dumpy and fat the ogres looked so i pinned the arms in more dynamic positions to make them look like they are big angry men... then the job of molding in the huge armpit gaps with gs... they look like massive mutant versions of my vet troops so im happy about that... well no where near finished... best carry on..

That's looking great. Love the hairy armpit!
Is it just me or does his left foot look a bit stumpy?

yeah ... most certaintly.. the right foots worse... for such big giants they got the tiniest feet.... they look like they are contantly falling forward and just going with the momentum...
ive seen pics of green berets in veitnam rocking fat handlebar pornstars moustches... so i went for that... it wasnt my intention to make him look russian... the others will all be rocking different types of headwear...helmets, haircuts... im even considering making the 5th ogryn a female one...

hey picture update on my ogryns... got the squad leader finished , all except the base... ive ordered in some special bases for the whole squad but they havent turned up yet... got 3 out of 4 almost finished sculpting and the last one is going to be started tommorrow... so i hope by the end of next week to have the whole squad ready. heres the painted badboy... and im not sure if he looks like stalin, or saddam hussein more... im leaning towards saddam smelly also because the ogres boxset comes with 6 ogres, i have one sapare to do a propper tutorial on how to convert these ogres to ogryns...
