Ashot: When I save your (amazing) photos to my desktop they get all stretched out, why is that? I really want to save them to my inspiration folder. :S

@ cosmic ... hehe... il let you get away with that... lol... its too tempting to make a biker conversion pulling a fat wheelie.... try it... bet you cant not do it!
@ upguardsandatem ... thanks dude... should have it all painted by tommorrow night... pics will be up... might even have to go it GW guildford (dont want to... no discount there) and pick up some more scout bikers as my local shop has sold out! Noooooooooooooooo... @ Gerner er... not sure mate.... go directly to my photobucket page and rip them from there... the link is in my sig ... if that dont work then it must be a problem with your windows photo veiwer.

only 1 picture tonight im afraid... didnt get as much done this weekend as i wanted too ... well heres the finished biker/roughrider... ive been playing around with mig pigments quite alot recently and i wanted the bike to look very worn and dusty... the bellypan and wheels have had a lot of pigment applied to make them look caked in dried sand... i think the result looks ok and ive decided to do this on all the ground vehicles i make from now on... i have another 4 boxes of scout bikers now ready to be made up... although this week i think il be finishing my ogryn squad as they are ready to be painted.

@ Gerner & Ashot what sizes are your monitors?if i'm correct photo bucket optimizes them for viewing on a 15" screen so anything bigger will stretch them, it doesnt happen on the forum as you internet browser will make them appear right
just tried this on my 26" tv and it stretches however opening it in paint works fine

Bloody awesome, I agree the GW roughriders are kinda silly. What parts of the scout biker kit did you keep on the model ?

What's you technique for the caked on mud? It looks so real! Dried on and crusty.

@ cosmic actually its really easy to get the caked on dried effect with mig weathering pigments.. mix a small amount of pva glue with water and apply it to the surface you want to cover.. then start applying the pigment until it appears to have soaked up the water and looks dry, then just keep going until it builds up...
i use 'gulf war sand' , 'european dryied dirt' and 'industrial waste dirt' with the first one being its main colour... the darker ones give t a small amount of depth.

He looks great ashotninja! I agree the mud effect looks completely realistic!
The only thing I could possibly say you could add would be a touch of dirt on the rider himself, he looks too clean, I would have though his legs would be a bit dusty having been speeding across dirt!

@ EGON... still thinking of stuff to put on it... but am really thinking of adding camouflauge pattern to it and some camo nets... as its a static peice it would try to conceal its position from the enemy.. Sounds like a good plan. Give it a nice camo paintjob and add a few of the big tarp/camo net from the vehicle accessory sprue (not enough time to deploy them all of the time but good to have). We used to attach rolled-up camo nets to the roofs of our trucks. When we needed to camoflague them we just unrolled them as they were.

Woah, you've got more projects going on then ME! Looking damn good though How did you get around the turret magnetising on the russ? As theres a small curved plate (gun sheild?) that attatches on that's given me problems.
