Woah, you've got more projects going on then ME! Looking damn good though How did you get around the turret magnetising on the russ? As theres a small curved plate (gun sheild?) that attatches on that's given me problems. I too would like to know as I plan to magnetize my LR, any help would be good!

ive replicated the gunsheild with 2mm plasticard and fitted it onto the guns... i couldnt figure a way of using the same sheild for all the different configs

I'm intrigued how you magnatized the actual turret weapons though, because they're the usual 'pin' style which is locked in place with the sell of the turret

The demolisher kit is a hell of a lot easier to do than the standard russ kit, so it should be a breeze. Ashotninja: Keeping the neodyium industry in buisness

well.. no darksiders... not for a while yet... i really want to finish the infantry line units before i move onto the special forces guys... anyway... almost finished banewolf... the reason why its 'almost' finished is i have not yet applied the soot and dust to the vehicle.. and the reason for that is im still perfecting the techniques and havent got it quite right yet.. note the fat track armour merged with the side armour... all my chimera chassis vehicles have now got this styling... im also tempted to make something similar for my LR chassis tanks the hellhound and devildog versions are also easily availiable via the use of magical metal pills known as 'magnets' , to which im almost addicted to now. also... my Destroyer tank hunter turned up today... yay.. a little late for my liking but at least i got it... and first impressions were its a bit crap. the cast is solid, but the quality of the sculpt is pretty pants and the resin dont quite fit to the newest LR shape i think... regardless its together and ive filled the gaps with the old GS ... magnetised the barrel for ease of transport... added stowage and a dozer panel... im sure after paint (tommorrow) its gonna look much better... might even camo this vehicle...

What's the track armour made from? Fantastic as always

May I suggest lengthening the trackguards so that they go all the way back? Right now they look awesome but it just bothers me that they only cover half the tracks. I know it's a left-over from GW's own track guards but those were equally silly. Just my opinion, great work.

Loving the look of the tanks. Have to ask though what size magnets do you use? I have some Russ's coming that I'd like to magnetize

I know it's a left-over from GW's own track guards but those were equally silly. Just my opinion, great work. yeah im well aware the tracks are only half covered and heres why... reading into the fluff of the hellhound i discovered it has souped up engines, i wanted to represent a faster and lighter chimera chassis with half the added armour on the sides... the hellhound model also has quite cool detailings on the side above the track that would had been covered up if i had kept the armour going all the way past the natural stopping point that i got too... each side has 4 panels which i have seemlessly moulded into the track armour and kept the splits between panels... it just seemed natural to me. ok next is that...(and to you too cosmic) sadly no they are not a gw product, the track armour is fully created by me using plasticard and gs... heres a pic of my ambulance to show you what a full lenght track armour section looks like... all my chimeras will have this styled track armour.... ive even remodelled the old one from this thread to fit in with my new ones. @ Brigadier General Foster... i have many different sizes.... the best ones i find are 5mm x 2mm circular... although i also have 10 mm x 1mm and 6mm x 1mm ive yet to experiment with square ones yet... im expecting a very large amount to turn up from china sometime soon... several hundred of different sizes... fullt recommend you get into magnets... its a reall clean way of putting models together and gives scope to give them different loadouts too.

First class work sir!
I'm a big fan of the camo and the light effects.
I actually kind off prefer your Destroyer pics to your usual ones; they have a rather gritty feel to them which I like.

Thats really good. The fact it took you a day is the icing on the cake. Very well done!

well i fully painted it last night... and did the weathering effects today after i got in from work...
the only reason this had a camo job was the fact that its an ambush vehicle as well as a specialist unit... im continuing the plain desert paint on the apc's and dirtying up the russes... i prefer the clean look... but the camo on this seemed to fit.

yeah... the more i look at it the more i think getting it was a good idea...its a fantastic unit to add to an apoc army... i think im gonna go ahead and get a thunderer too next month.... and paint it up similar to the destroyer... i plan on getting all the specialist tanks off of forgeworld eventually as im hooked now despite the ridiculous prices
