Those track-guards is ace ashot! And I really like the clean and crisp look on the bane wolf! I bought one for myself not long ago, and it's at home, waiting for some conversions and addons.

I choose to make my 2000th "actual" (as opposed to Underhive) post by saying that the Destroyer looks superb! You really nailed the lighting effects, and I may have to try and steal the technique when I someday get around to painting my Destroyer...  |

happy 2000th post trooper! i coudnt help myself when it came to the destroyer... initially i was planning on casting the forgeworld parts so i can make more... but i just couldnt stop myself from building it and painting it straight away... its not the best model, but it looks good when finished. im getting used to the lighting effects now and i find it easier now i own all the citadel paint range (and most of the old colours too) Ice blue is now my favourite... its such a bright colour...and great for the blue highlights. well... im glad i have plenty of spare time on my hands... if i didnt then i wouldnt had just painted this new marbo stand in... not sure what to call him yet... but here he is (cameras still a bit off)  gonna chuck this pic in the marbo thread aswell , i dont like to double post but at least its gonna be relevent. working on my harker stand in now.... hes a tall motherf'er and hes got a pimp heavy bolter 50cal style ... should have the gs work finished by tommorrow night, and be painted sunday if all goes well. |

yeah jus figured id forgot his knife... might add it onto his go-bag at some point then... i do think its quite funny how d.ick is censored and so when you try to write ridd-ick it comes out ridthingy... hehe... that makes me chuckle... but thanks for noticing, as i was painting him, i thought of vin desiel its hard to tell from the pics but he does have quite olive skin tone.. anyway... didnt get as far on my harker model as i wished i did... ended up going out this weekend and the gs took alot longer to complete... but here is the wip so far  this guy stands about 3 - 4mm taller than all the other troops... i wanted my harker stand in to be a beast of a man, tall and muscluar, without having to turn to ctachan arms or head to represent that... hes had a 1mm plasticard section added, under his boots / top of boots to legs / waist... his waepon, intended to be a heavy bolter as per the rules regarding this charachter, just didnt seem to fit well modelwise to his stature and the look of my models... so the weapon is intended to be a fully stripped down heavy bolter made to look similar to a modern day 50cal browning m2 ... i know the real thing looks different but i wanted the overal shape of the 50cal not an exact scale model. ... will be working on his squad soon, and hopefully they will look pretty wimpy standing next to this guy. |

That's pretty damn spiffy!  When you're painting him, you should paint the phrase "Get some!" on the receiver of the weapon under the ejection port.  |

Sick Harper mate but right that's it, admit it mate you put a thin layer of GS over a laspistol from the CCS box set. :-p Reminds me of the mastodontes from MW2

Looking good! And big.Can we get a comparison shot of him next to a standard guardsman? My Harper is a bit taller than everyone else but this guy is HUGE!

yeah cheers for the nice comments guys... im really happy with the sculpt... i should finish painting him later tonight... im about 60% finished with it at the moment... il post it up later with a comparison shot with a standard trooper.
yeah the hoster has been replicated with the instant mold and gs... its so easy and cheaper to do that than order loads of them from bitz sites
also working on my creed and kell stand ins too... creed is will be sporting two gold colt 1911's
and kell will be holding a flag with a power fist and the other hand will be holding a power sword... cant decide to give creed a cape of some sort or keep him without and look like the rest of my troops... il post up what i done so far later so you can decide for me.

ok as promised...  one harker stand in.. havent named him yet... also heres the comparison shots... up against the others he dont look that big il admit... but stood alone next to a standard trooper he seems to have alot more presence than everyone else.  |
