Thanks! I've done some more today, really got back into it There's a lot of little screens in that cockpit!

So, after a day of boring-ass jobs, I had a fiddle with Fidei. My magnets came is the post, so I whipped out the power tools!

Drilled into the servitor gun bits and added magnets.



Then marked and drilled the blastgun and mega-bolter



I then attatched the right side parts and tested the blastgun. Hurrah! It hasn't fallen apart! The carapace and cockpit are also magnetised now



I then stuck on the other gun servitor bit, and took a few shots of the interior. It needs siome pigments putting ito the floor, and a few highlights, although I think it's looking pretty nice.







Cockpit instruments. Still need to do a couple of screens and the princeps and moderatii.



And here it is in it's (almost) fully assembled state!









Most of the work now is down here; lots of weathering and finishing off the base details.

Looking monster! And progress going so well! Personally I don't think I could do so much money justice but I have no doubt that here, you have.

Sadly though, I still feel that I could do a new kit justice; the assembly and parts clean-up on this isn't great, although I guess that's the price to pay for second-hand models.

I really really want to do another though, despite it's ups and downs I'm really enjoying this project, and it hasn't even made it to the game board yet!

It's looking fantastic. It's a great centrepiece for your army. Two would look awesome as well.

I can't talk for too long though as there's plenty of work to be done on my reaver. This is serving as some motivation for me. Nice!

So inbetween various casting episodes and things, I've been painting up all the purity seals that Cheminhaler and Empty Hat have kindly donated And then I plastered them all over the shin-guards







I've also added a few more details to the base, although these aren't in the pictures.

There's only a teeny bit more to do, which is the engine-y bit that sits in the carapace, the engine-y bit that goes at the back inbetween the reactor bits, and the two crew (third one lost in transit).

The engine pieces are sprayed and awaiting my next tea break

Soooo.... it's been raining non-stop all morning, and I have a million things to spray! Damn weather! So I thought I'd finish off Fido and take some semi-decent pics














I have really enjoyed fixing up this model, and it curretly looms over the lounge from a book shelf. However it looks quite lonely, and there's plenty of things I'd have done differently now I'm at the finish line. Perhaps it'll be getting a buddy at some point in the none-too-distant future...
