what babies or toxic fumes? they aren't really toxic but too long stripping paint with nail varnish remover can give you a head ache

*Cringes*
I hope that you can get them stripped down well enough for them to look good when you repaint them. You should be able to find Valkyrie canopy sets on eBay that you can use to replace the horribly damaged ones that are on the model now...

Did you just break it apart? Or did you use a solvent to soften the glue?

It had been glued with poly cement so most of it was melted together and had to be cut. However there were huge sections that had no glue on it at all so it didn't cause too many problems. I'll be stripping the paint later today so expect to see more images this evening.

That paint is almost as thick as a cheap hooker's makeup covering up the bruises from a pimps ring hand slap.

I've started stripping the paint off the hull and it was 4 layers thick

Wow just wow. I know you got a deal but..... Damn.
Can't wait to see what you do with them. Me I probably would have just made them objectives haha. Nothing like a full sized crashed Valk to capture during games.

My desire to fix things is greater than my desire for a cool objective. The Russ is already half stripped so expect photo's later. I also have 3 other Russ' 2 new ones and 2 that came from Rich oh and a poor condition one from ebay that has become a Destroyer ank hunter as it had a predator turret instead of a Russ one

Double post time. Does anyone remember this tank from earlier today? I know there are bits missing but that is due to them being sat drying. However it does appear the turret may be beyond salvation and need to be replaced. By the way the bits where it looks like there is still paint is where the amount of paint has stained the plastic. Once dry it will be glued back together so check back tomorrow.

Tripple post So the Russ got cleaned up further, broken bits removed and irrepairable bits scrapped. Then it came to putting her back together the out come of which is below. As I'm yet to decide on a colour scheme this is as far as I'll get for now. Still, I have a valk and a basilisk to do yet then on to the figures.

I may put a layer of primer on it tomorrow. I am considering doing a black/white/grey digital pattern on my tanks, any thoughts?
