Looking much better. You could probably save this with some plasticard and a lot of TLC.
Just a nitpick though, the new front hatch looks just a little bit crooked. If you straighten it up (along with all the other tilted insigniae) it will look a lot better.
Can't wait to see how this will turn out.

Yeah I noticed the new front hatch was wonky when I uploaded the photo's the other insinia might have to be removed completely due to who ever put it together using poly cement

Sorry guys there wont be an update for a few days as my wife just gave birth to our 2nd son. The next update however should be the tank painted in black/white/grey digital camo.

Quick update before I have my lunch. I managed to save the turret, mostly. After I've eaten I will be magnetizing the sponsors and once dry will be priming the hull black. If I get chance I will also finish restoration of the turret.

I know this was a bargain, but I have to say that after seeing all the work you've had to do so far I would have just bought a new Leman Russ.
My hat goes off to you for trying though.

The effort has been worth it and I actually enjoyed doing it (I used to restore cars). The financial cost was zero as I had most of the parts anyway. The sponsons came from a trade on here though.

Yep, you helped me finish this restoration as did rich(turret hatch) and petercooman123(replacement tracks). I now need to find sponsons for another russ I have them missing from

Looks like my parts already came in handy, better +1 me Are you gonna leave it with that or are you gonna put a third color on? The colors that are on now would really work with a grey(ish) tone. Would so totally make it ash waste camo . Nice restoration btw

Great restoration and looking forward to seeing your upcoming projects.
BTW, bonus points for using the dreadnaught sarcophagus cover as the front hatch.

there is already a thin coat of light grey on it, although it's obviously not enough you can tell
