How long did you let the metallic paints sit? I haven't noticed that with any of mine, yet, and I've had them about a year and a half or so...

probably wise, the chapterhouse conversion kit is okay, though the floor is too weak.
good work with the plasticard as it looks like a nice finish you've achieved there.

I am not a fan of their practices either. regardless, their conversion kit is too small for what I have in mind I suspect. thank you, I am quite pleased with the results, though none of the sides are the same length, or straight, or square... I am hoping I can botch it together ok  |

Chemin: I think you have seen the flyer in its finished form.
I put the WIP pics up to show the additions that were made by the chapterhouse kit, and also to show how I further converted the raven with hurricane bolters on the wing tips, the lower hull mounted assault cannon, the typhoon missile launchers, the extra wing set mounted lower on the hull and the double engines.
It was a lot of fun re-designing the raven. Sadly I've only used the completed flyer in about 4 battles so far. (though it has performed very well in each just using the storm raven rules).

mine is slightly longer than that, and wont have the tail on the end either. I am currently waiting to buy more bits, but the stuff I want is never in stock. hopefully tomorrow I will get a few odds and ends. missile launchers will be the main issue, whirlwind pods would be ideal, but now that whirlwinds are direct only you can't get them cheap anywhere. I might have to just suck it up and buy two though, I can always use rhinos for something somewhere, or convert them in to vindicators. I have checked out a range of other missile launchers from third party sites, but nothing is the right size or style. I did consider using the missiles from the Taurox Prime, I couple of those stacked on top of each other, with a frame that looks like it could retract would work well. but they aren't cheap either, and by the time I have bought four racks of missiles, I might as well just buy whirlwinds again.

the missile launchers that go under the storm raven wings would work well I feel, but those are like gold dust as well

I have two storm ravens, both are going to become storm eagles. I had planned to buy two, but I want a Fire Raptor as well, and the at nearly £300 for the three it was a big outlay. then I remembered I have two storm ravens...
I really like the storm ravens, but a key thing for my planned marine armies is the idea that they can be 30 or 40k compatible with little effort.
