They are amazing models! I've finishd my second ccs, as with all my officers I've used a different model, this time it's my quatermaster. It's nice to have some variety. This ccs will sit with my firebase and issue orders to artillery. Next up is my third earthshaker. I'm feeling a bit daunted by the baneblade, so far I've sprayed it green!

Really looking forward to seeing the Baneblade, Jud. You'll do it justice I have no doubt! The detail on the quartermaster is superb and he looks so eerie it's frightening! Only thing I could criticise would be that the banner looks a little shiny, a matte finish would look good

Thanks Cosmic! I don't currently have a varnish, I was thinking of the army painter spray to take the shine off. Are they any good? Are there better sprays out there? I don't use an airbrush and think brushing on a varnish would be torture! Any suggestions?

I use Vallejo sprays, they're very good and worth the money. It might seem a pain but having just plain bottles of both matte and gloss varnish is always a good idea, I've found them to be invaluable. And for something like the banner, you don't necessarily want to spray the whole model so just brushing on a thin coat by hand will do the job nicely

I'm looking forward to the baneblade, and obviously where you should go from here is to have more earthshakers. As many as you are allowed to field. Fill an apocalypse army with earthshakers. Thousands of them.

A Gorgon (or formation) would be appropriate, though I tend to agree with the additional Earthshakers. The supporting tow vehicles and maybe some ammunition carriers would also be good. The army looks beautiful, I have been watching this since the beginning and it is awesome to see an army such as this come together. I wish I could afford a Forge World army...

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I think I'm going to go with the gorgon, It's just so cool! Also the earthshaker are rediculously expensive, I can get super heavies for the same price! As for expense I spend roughly £50 a month on them! If your patient and take your time youll get a force sooner than you think!

It's the pricing of those earthshakers that made me build and cast my own version. It's just ridiculous!

Truly superb You work at a great pace and you're improving every time. If I can find anything to fault it would be that it still looks a little shiny compared t the rest of your minis, however that could just be the light. Your army is amazing and you should be dead proud

Thank you cosmic Does look a little shiny, waiting for my varnish to arrive! Loving the krieg, they keep me inspired. I've been reading the novel "warriors of ultramar" which features dkok, ultramarines and nids! After I felt the urge to paint some ultramarines! Thinking of maybe doing all 3 forces and do some sort of campaign! Any way here's the model, it's made up of bitz from my bitz box, quite pleased! As always any input is appreciated

Quite nice of an army overview! couple of suggestions: on the baneblade sponson, painting the targeting lens might give some extra contrast to the vehicle. The dark elf banner(guy next to quarter master) doesn't look very IG, perhaps an empire banner instead?

Thanks Macknight! I think you're right on the targeting lens, I'll have to paint it. As for the banner, I quite like it Fullmetaljacket, thanks. Looking forward to seeing your army! So I was looking through my bitz box and have managed to put together 2 more models! First was a master of ordnance, I just took the vox caster bloke and gave him some binoculars! Then I switched the plasmagun for a grenade launcher so I now have a grenadier with a plasmagun and a guardsman with grenade launcher. I think this makes much more sense as the grenadier has bs4, the guardsman bs3. Also I think krieg infantry should only have assualt weapons as anything else would slow down the advance! I have had a chance to paint my master of ordance here's the pics.

The MoO looks great! What you need now is a better camera and tripods for lights, the group photos are quite blurry. I recently bought a digital camera that is not a point and click, it makes all the difference. My orks and tau are reshot and uploaded, though some of the tau photos need a redo as there is some blurriness and being too bright; almost done shooting my IG, and will upload them before the weekend, I can attest that the quality is night and day comparing to the IG photos up right now.

Thanks for the advice macknight. I'll have to see how things go as far as a new camera is concerned. It's a lot of cash for something I'd rarely use.

I got a Nikon D3200 for $500, it was at $600, you can get better deals if its refurbished. You can also get a gradient tone backdrop($50-60)/tripods($60-) from B&H for fairly cheap. When you're minis are to a point that it might be consider 'art', you should make all the preparations to exhibit them. Same with proper storage so they don't get dinged.

Thanks again mcknight I'll see what happens after christmas. Have to be nice to the wife for a bit Nothing new to report for the Krieg this time. I haven't been idle though, I've been working on the Ultramarines for a campaign I'm going to run later next year. So far I've been working on a tyrannic war veteran and Marneus Calgar. I don't know if I've mentioned it before but I HATE painting flesh and will avoid it like the plague! Hence my love of gas masks etc. Well with these two models I've decided to add helmets. I think thay add to them. Let me know what you think. Here's the pics: And Calgar

Bloody stunning. A nice simple pallette goes a long way! I like the helmeted Calgar too. Far less cheesy and much more epic!
