Right, well Paimons sisters are now pretty much finished and as such I'll be starting my other commissions. My original plan was to complete them all in the order that I got them in, however, that would take absolutely ages. And so, I'm just going to do them all, and flit between them all. To my customers: No one will be left out so please don't feel like I'm abandoning your project for someone elses, everyone will have their stuff painted, but doing it this way will prevent the tedium of painting the same things for a few weeks. I can flit between them and keep myself interested. So, lets begin......
For my largest commission, Ivory has generously asked if I would paint him up a full Salamanders Heresy-era army. I don't have any pictures yet but we've been regularly discussing ideas and there will be a LOT of FW stuff in this ;D So far the first lot will consist of about 60 Marines, Command Squad, 2 Predators, 2 Contemptor Dreadnoughts a few other things that I can't remember!! This will be a very big, and very long commission. But the end result should look fantastic on the table  Any thoughts on Salamanders? I'me sure Ivory would appreciate it Cosmic
A final messageI am truly grateful to everyone who has commissioned me, I really am. As you may have noticed I have plenty to keep me busy, but juggling all of this with 2 jobs as well will be hard. I will try my best to get everything done quickly, professionally and to the standard you all expect. I truly am grateful for your custom, thank you. |

Do you plan on sticking to the documented green w/ black shoulder pads?

I don't think Ivory and I are keen on flames to be honest, they will however all be very scratched and battle damaged as well as some stencilling of dragons on some armour  As for the Green, Ivory has a very specific shade of green he'd like, I'm sure he can copy and paste a few excerpts from the document he sent me detailing everything he'd like |

Ivory insists on only MkIII Iron Armour although the Command Squad is Mk IV, I'll be swapping the heads for Mk III |

It's good that they've made extra sets of armour with different legs. I so want to buy some of that stuff..

Cheers Chem , it just seemed appropriate, the Mk III Iron is intended for brutal close quarter firefights, a specialty that is shared by the Salamanders

We've ordered some of the Salamanders shoulder pads from FW, which have scaled pelts on them, and I think that's the most we'll do. It's all about subtle detailing and stenciling on the important armour |

Love the legionaires too, I couldn't have done that as I have the metal ones, although I might nick that idea if I ever do a squad of vets.

@ivory - are you planning on using any of the special HH antiquated weapons?
Like the graviton gun in the boarding assault set, or the Volkite cannon that comes with the new jetbike?

Yeah it's so handy with the Finecast, and to be honest, I know Finecast has a bad reputation but all the stuff I've received is completely perfect! That is indeed a Vindicator, we knew they had them during the Heresy, just they had a different sized gun, so I'll see what I can do wit it |

Also lads, whenever there's the option for a fire based weapon I'll take it. I'll be making no shortcuts on these guys.
