That sounds like one hell of an adventure mate. I hope you have a roof over your head and settled?
Good to see you're picking up the brush again, time to re-build.

Oh yeah, I'm all back to real life (though now halfway across the country haha). Live in a nice enough apartment with my girlfriend of a few months right down the street from Warhammer Citadel. Got a decent promotion in the work I'm in down here

The 91st is back. Well at least its 3rd company commander is. I picked up a command box that was in a clearance section for 20 bucks as I naturally could not resist even if my hobby time is next to nothing these days. I decided to mirror my old force but show some passage of time. So my command squad will look pretty similar to my previous one but a but more rugged. So here is the recently promoted Major Walker, now sporting a beard and having lost an arm in the war against chaos. He didn't come out as well as I wanted but I like him since he's given me a small feeling of my old collection. A bit lame I know but sue me...

Officially up to 4 painted models for 3 different armies in my collection. This is daunting.

The lighter flame on the heavy flamer is spot on. Heavy flamers are quite fun to paint. skin tone on that guy's face looks very 'alive' too.

Hard to tell in this picture but it's the face with the stogie sticking out so that's the little yellow dot haha.

Looking good! Really like the Camo scheme.
What sort of basing will you add?

Cheers jud! The paint is exactly the same scheme as my original 91st Tracian (and the poses, heads, etc are the same as the original command squad). I really am just rebuilding my old force. I put too much time and heart into the lore of the Tracian rebellion to just ditch it haha. As for basing, I don't know yet. Originally I just slapped straight static grass on it and called it a day but this time I don't know.
Ps, I'm about an hour from finishing up the rest of the squad. Stay tuned

First full squad done! My painted collection tripled in the past 2 days haha. Group shot of Major Walker and his staff, commander of the decorated 3rd company of the 91st Tracian Infantry Regiment, "the Stonewalls" 1st Lt. Adrian Lee, adjunct to the major Sgt. Tomas Lee, long standing friend of the major and a chief tactical advisor (banner is still wip) And finally Specialist Agustus Wagner, medic attached to 3rd company Well that's all the guard I currently own but i did start putting down a few coats on 2 deathwatch guys. Next task is getting that Deathwatch get started box done so i have some semblance of an army. Then guard after. All the guard. Painting this squad reminded me just why I love this army.

I like the rebuilding an old force with a veteran/grizzled feel to it and that paint scheme accents together well. The bearded officer with a bionic arm really nails that theme and stands out as a rough line officer ready to fight.
A cool idea could be making one of your older squad sergeants into a platoon/company commander after the rebuild to show them raising through the ranks via field commission.
Keep up the great work -T

That's exactly what I'm going for. Several of them are step by step remakes of the original just aged/wounded up a bit to show passage of time. I do really like the idea of promoting an old sgt to a lt. I know exactly the one too, he was the sgt of a 3 flame vet squad and he was equipped with a power fist for fun (built back in 6th). He definitely earned it, in one game he took down a knorne berserker sgt (I think?) In a challenge then turned around and put 2 wounds on a demon prince. Dude is a (makebelieve) badass.

Cool squad; they bring a nice ammount of character to the army already. I'm looking forward to the final product.

Hello Swalkerfour, great to see you back.
The new Tracians are looking amazing but it's hard to see. I think P/bucket is blurring your pictures up as you've exceeded your bandwidth limit. If you sign up to Imgur and host your images there it'll be a lot clearer.
Anymore Deathwatch done?

Hey chem, most likely its less photobucket and more a poop camera phone in poop light haha. Ill try and take some better ones soon but i do have a few deathwatch i finally finished 5 minutes ago. They both still need a few details but i gotta go buy some more paints. Until then, here they are. Ultramarine Brazen Claw And the army shot...thats depressing

He looks like he is in a mood Are you trying to add them to your post on a mobile device? A lot of the picture hosting sites are make it increasingly difficult to do that.. some are making it difficult to do so on PC. If you are on mobile you can look into getting the tapatalk app; it supports the IGMB forum and you can upload pictures through the app. I've got no clue where it hosts the damn things though, so it'd be a good idea to keep them backed-up somewhere. If your not on mobile; simply r-click the picture you want to share and select "copy image location" (this might be called something else in English, I've updated windows and it reverted back to Dutch) you can than paste that URL directly into your post by placing it between img tags like so:[img]https://i.imgur.com/jkNQ45Q.jpg[/img] or you can use the "insert image" button at the top of the 'create post' screen.

Hey, lots of work means little hobby time but the recent rain has given me plenty of down time at work. So naturally Ive set up a paint station at my desk and whipped out a sentinel and few more deathwatch. The 88th Tracian Recon Regiment lives again. And now some deathwatch. Note that the eyes, lenses, etc arnt done yet since I cant seem to find the blood for the blood god I just bought so yeah. Sgt from the Howling Griffons A Black Templar And a Mentor. I messed up the face the first time I tried to save it. Its ok but not my best work. And an "army shot" of what Ive got so far. Dread is next
