MD, course it counts! Anything cute and needs feeding you can look after is worth more models!
Cheers Cheminhaler, they were a lot of fun to paint, the tufts are the Middenheim tufts, I think them and the odd piece of slate adds a little something!
2 days to go..... there was a big box from Darksphere on the kitchen side so can’t wait!

Cool stuff, I like that the tau parts on the sprue kind of blend in with the flow of the hammerhead. The Imperial parts feel a bit tacked on.

Nice work, I think that works pretty well for a Long Strike Hammer Head.
I also second what Nutty says, the command add on's look like they were apart of the tank design in the first place.

I’m glad you think it works, I didn’t want to have the guy hanging out the turret as I thought that was more of an Imperium thing to do!
The upgrade kit does fit seamlessly I’m happy with it anyway.

Progress! I've finished the first Pathfinder team for my T'au Hunter Cadre. I've added a couple of Ionrifles because they look nails!  Tau Empire Pathfinders  Tau Empire Pathfinders  Tau Empire Pathfinders Next up will be a couple of Cadre Fireblades (1 will be converted from the Ethereal from the start collecting box) and my third Hammerhead! |

I've had a productive weekend (in between the football) and I've managed to finish my first Cadre Fireblade! Must say I think he's probably my favourite T'au model so far because I usually suck at faces! Nice, the big bonus (for me atleast) with alien faces is that they look "right" much quicker. Probably because you have nothing real to compare them to.
It is a cool model though, looking forward to seeeing his converted colleague.

Finished the conversion! The hardest bit was filing off the bare legs and trimming the armoured legs to fit. I don't think he's as good as the GW standard model but at least I got some use from the spare Ethereal! That army is taking shape fast! I haven't really realized it yet, but you are putting those Tau units at a pretty high pace. How much time do you spend on them per day/week?

Don't think too hard about curves and smooth lines. This leads to pants heresy. Trust me, tau vehicles aren't worth the risk of pants heresy.

Nutty, I usually paint a model a day. An Infantry model will take me between an hour to 2 hours depending on my mood.
This project has me very motivated, usually I paint to sell but these are for keeps.
While I’m working on these I have half an eye on Space Wolves (I really like the blue/grey colour)
ElegaicRequiem, pants heresy sounds kinda fun, especially with smooth lines and curves!

I couldn't agree more and love all the haters, they make it all that bit sweeter.
That is great motivation to have the Fire worriors and Pathfinders completed before you Birthday.
The Stormsurge in your Green colours, that's something I'm looking forward to and I just found out they have Pilots too! Good luck building the beast.
Haha no way, my birthday is the 24th! Hopefully I'll have Armiger Warglaives, some Blood Bowl and my third Assault Launcher(Fingers crossed)
