He's got 20 wounds and a Toughness of 7, so not overly powerful. Yeah, a lot of people don't like the cockpit but I think it's cool too! Breachers aren't all that threatening, they're basically Fire Warriors with a T'au equivalent of a shotgun, the closer the target is the harder it hits. Finished my second Commander Today, I've named him Commander Pressure Wave! He'll be leading the T'au Sept contingent of my force. A Pressure Wave is the blast caused by a munition exploding, plus I thought it sounded cool and T’au-esque!

Standard is 18” Assault 3 str 7 ap -1 dmg 1
Overcharged 18” Assault 3 str 8 ap -1 dmg d3
Useful but not the hardest of hitters.

Oh Christmas is always a great boost to the 'to do list'
I want them to release the Kroot guy from Blackstone Fortress, he'd look cool as a special character. Having said that, there are a few models I would like from that set.
I look forward to seeing the reinforcements.

No Tau this year: Eldar, Necrons, Admech, and two types of Primaris Marines for 40k.
So you might have to explore some other avenue of expansion.

MD, yeah we make a big deal of it in our household!
That Kroot model is amazing, might have to try and get one from eBay! Love Kroot.
I’ve still got some Pathfinders, a backlog of Drones and an Ethereal to do so I’ll be working on them.

Loving the scheme, great basing and painted lens, the weathering looks slightly off on some models: crisis especially, the metallic silver or white should only go over the black, simply sponging over the same area of sponged black looks off. The sept marking could be more clean/ridged, you can simply use a xacto knife and clean off the edges.

The weathering does seem to divide the crowd! Maybe I could be a little less heavy handed on the silver? Or just do it on the extreme edges of panels?
I agree with you about the Sept markings too, patience has never been one of my virtues! I have a tendency to rush my painting.
I’ll take your constructive feedback onboard and try to improve them in the future!

OK, I was going through my bitz box whilst bored and decided after building a load of Drones that I had 2 bodies left from the Hammerhead sprues. I thought that I'd try and make use of them. Now I already have 2 Fireblades and didn't want to build anymore. I flicked through the codex for ideas and found the entry for the Farsight Marksmen (characters with Markerlights) After a little while of playing around a bit they slowly came together now I don't usually post WIP but wanted to see what you guys thought. I'm unsure if the scopes are too big? Or if I can get away with it?  Tau Farsight Marksman Conversions  Tau Farsight Marksman Conversions I'm pretty happy with them but thought I'd seek advice before priming them ready for painting. |

I'd personally say they're a touch too big, but that's just my personal taste. You may want to look for 3rd party scopes. You need some pulse pistols on their hips too! Love the marker light rifle conversion, though. Firesights are such a good way to get cheap, hard to target markerlights at a good BS.

The scopes are a bit on the big side if you ask me, but they do set them apart as something other than pathfinders/firewarriors. Do you have the stealthsuit kit? That comes with a smaller version of the same bit.

Thanks reds! Yeah, I thought so, they are too big. I’d completely forgotten about the pistols! I’ll add some. I’m on a tight budget this month so I can only use what I have.
Nutty, again thank you. I will be getting some Stealth Suits in the next sphere of expansion (Christmas!!) how many are in the set?
I might try adding another Marker light instead of a scope.
