Nice thing you like them 'cause more is comoing up! Next one up is a Company Command Group. For now I got my regiment standard bearer (have to fix his right sleeve thogugh), master of Ordnance and one of his bodyguards ready. Medical officer will be done soon, but i think I need to order a couple more bits for the communications officer and the other boadyguard. My Commander is an old conversion, but I like it and he'll be leading my army well. But have to say, I was really surprised by the bad quality of the forge world torso on the boduguard. It has really many bubbles and one really big one uder the left arm. Luckily it's in such place that it can't be seen on the battlefield, but still.

Well, a little update from me too, for a change. The Company Command Group so far is ready. Still need to add one trooper there, maybe a special weapon, and another bodyguard. Click on the image for a bigger view! Commenting is allowed.

Looks great! but why did you give the Master of Ordanace a power sword? Just needed something to make him look higher in rank. Cool bionic arm and a bit bigger butter knife did the trick quite well in my opinion. Though I could just cut off the pipe so that it would look more like an ordinary ccw.

Awesome... Love your painting style. Very effective... And where's the master of ordnance's torso from? It's really cool...

These are very nice, good use of super heavy tank crew parts too. Which also answers ReWolf's question I think the mystery torso is a tank crewman's. I -think- not a baneblade one though... Just checked and there's an identical torso on the Shadowsword sprue, albeit attached to some half legs, but that's what saws are for. I'm sure the incomparable Sgt Walters will come along and shoot down my guess real soon

Actually it looks to me like the standard officer torso on some cadian legs. What Im wondering is where the head is from. I think the MoO is my favorite so far . . . besides the chainsword on a stick

Think we're all talking at cross purposes. I had the guy on the far left as the MoO as he has a custom comms pack. His torso is the one that likely comes from the shadowsword kit. The -other- guy with a vox, 3rd from the left, does indeed have the torso from the command squad. That model's head is from the baneblade (and possibly shadowsword) sprue, one of several cool heads in that set! That's where the shoulder pads with laurels and possibly the pointing arm on the far left chap. Think that should clear it up.

That's where the shoulder pads with laurels and possibly the pointing arm on the far left chap. Think that should clear it up. You are most right on your guesses. There are two torsos from the cadian command sprue, the one on the MoO and the one on the banner bearer. The third torso is indeed cut off the baneblade commander. The mystery head on MoO is from the same kit. The Master of Ordnance is indeed the guy with the red uniform. I tried to distiguish him from the others, as he has come from Artillery corps to provide the unit with fire support, and red is the color for artillery in Finnish army. I made the MoO before the other comm and I do think too that they should have had their comm pack the other way around, the custom comm pack just looks that it could reach better distances. The MoO has some extra decorations on his link though, cause his comm pack is from the cadian command set too. Then there are forge world cadian veteran torso on the bodyguard and and head on the medic. Medics arms are also switched with ones that don't have sleeves to make him more suited to jungle. Banner bearer and comm officer have arms from cadian command set, they just have their shoulder plates filed off. The pointy arm is indeed from baneblade kit too. Damn... can't remember what I had to say anymore. Poke me between the ribs if I forgot something you wanted to know.

I got inspired by dreadpirates casualty marker ( here), so I just had to make myself a proper objective marker. The Vietnam War American style Catachans just scream for "No one's left behind" -type marker. So here's my vision: Just need some gaps filled with milliput, and then i'll get painting. Commenting approved! //Zombie and Catachan parts. All glued to one piece, so that it's easily movable.

Did you paint anymore? I must have more!
Edit: Also, what color do you use for the fatigues? It looks something like the concoction I use but not exactly.

After that it's time for four more sentinels and a Russ Eradicator Nova tank. The clothes are painted with Charadon Granite from the foundation paint range.

20 guardsmen for you. I tried, a little different (quicker) method with the skin on the squad on the back, but it didn't turn out that well. I think I'll just have to paint it properly on everyone.

I like your style. You use the washes, yes?
And the basing is good, too. I don't see enough people basing their figures anymore...hooligans.

OMG, i didn't know that the baneblade came with that head (one on the vox caster guy). Must order sprue, now, that would make an amazing veteran sergeants head (imo). Great job with everything ;D (the tats are my favorite, and i'm sure some of my men will be hitting up the tattoo parlor very soon). P.S. I recognized the Catachan Devil...

I like your style. You use the washes, yes? For shading yes. A little tutorial on painting technique can be found earlier on this topic, I think it was at the end of the first page. //Hmm, the tutorial wasn't on this topic... Where could it have been? <.< Great job with everything ;D (the tats are my favorite, and i'm sure some of my men will be hitting up the tattoo parlor very soon). Thanks mate! Nice to be inspirational. ...but wait a second! I think I saw someone movin in the bushes! Oh, that was propably just wind... No, it's Marb.... *Ööälllrrgggh*
