codent resist edetin it could you rt Real words go a long way to ensure the survival of the human race my friend. As well as not double posting. Two fails, one post. Bravo. I can't stand that they are making space wolves. Who plays that army anyway? Litterally two people in my shop, one is a 12 year old and the other is the manager. So neither count. Everyone(even GW wallets) would be much happier with nids or DE first. At least people show interest in those armys... Nox

At least he posted in somewhat complete words and not chat speak.... Blood Angels as much as I love them, their codex works for now, 11 years is a long time. Tyranids are the newest hot-race, so that's why they are getting a new codex, but I haven't seen a serious Space Wolves player in some time and do not need a new codex... And for that one 40 year old guy who rants that space wolves are awesome and I'm wrong... I'm a Blood Angel, and my posts have rending.

Only when your post count ends in a six.
I want to see DE, SoB, and 'crons. Everything else can wait until the 3rd ed 'dexes are re-done...

I hate Necrons... Just... Urgh. There is nothing about them that is at all endearing. A bit like SoB (to me), but atleast they don't look retarded.
But still yeh. Dark Eldar and the other poor armies still stuck in 3rd need new 'dexes before any one. Let alone some Marine chapter.

I know 4 Space Wolf players. All of them old school players.
Workshop gets ripped a new one for not providing for old players. With Wolves (and disturbingly Dark Eldar as it's been so long) they'll be mostly doing just that, Now they get criticised for producing something nobody wants.
The "They only support armoured wombles" argument has merit. The "no one wants/likes Space Wolves" one does not.

I certainly never said the wolves didn't need a new dex, although I wouldh ave argued that they needed it less than most other third edition armies (but that's a different position entirelly). I actually said all third edition armies need to be updated before any fourth edition ones I think that's the most common sentiment in this thread at least.

Or at lest tell us that they never plan on updating the army and put them on the shelf with the squats while they admit defeat.

For goodness sake... How old is that Dark Eldar 'Dex now? It's getting beyond a joke. But of course, the precious Marine players need atleast a 'dex a year. LMAO!!! didnt know the SM had a 5ed codex it seemed awfully ultramrine codex to me!! but... too true its was a nice army and could have a fair bit of expansion but with it being so long, reckon they will bother?

Well, GW says that they're working on it. If it will come through, though, that's what nobody knows.

You will all hate me for this. But I think the different chapters could easily have been represented in the ONE SPACE MARINE CODEX. For all you who cry bull- the Chaos Marine codex. Some special units and wargear the odd special character.
Ta bloody dah.

Why would I hate you for it? I've argued that very thing in the past.

Yeah, I agree. They can still make a bunch of different minis for the chapters, but they really should stuff it all in one codex.

Then they would have to separate different units that could only be taken if you have a SC in the force. That would be lame.

So you'd be cool with a ravenwing with samael as one half the list, and dante and some assault marines and dc as the other half backed up by a thunderfire cannon or two? All for the Ultramarines prices, of course... and all the stuff giving me an extra dc.

Most players I have mentioned this too seem to scream heresy and refuse to hear the rest of my opinions.
Also ElegaicRequiem yes, we can have Creed and Al Rahem and Russian dude all in one force not to mention the Paskquisher. Its possible but cheesy few people would use it.

See, I like having the option to field all those guys, but I think having them all at the same party is decidedly un-fluffy. And if you aren't going to at least have some fluff behind your list, what are you, but a powergamer? And powergamers aren't fun to play against.
You have more opinions worthy of discussion? Share.

No I dont think I am a powergamer as Im not very good, dont get me wrong I can build a balanced tough list but I rely more on luck and my 'ability' as a wargamer. And no I dont have many opinions worthy of discussion but I do have them

I like my armies to have some kind of theme, like my guard i plan to be mechanised and my old csm army from 4th ed used the alpha legion rules and was mainly csm squads that infiltrated.

I wasn't being accusatory, and playing against good gamers with cheesy lists is a good way to learn. I just think that the different flavors of marines are so different, that trying to put them all into one codex would either make it way too complicated, or would dumb them down to the point that even having different kinds is pointless. Kinda like all the different kinds of codex chapters represented in there now. Same force with different leader = different performance? Only cool when you read it. Then you realize that if they are codex chapters, they should all benefit from all of those buffs. Or not get any at all.

Yeah I build around a theme which was germans and is now the RED ARMY becuase I have close to a hundred Guardsmen some SOB's and a whole bunch of tanks and soon to be 2 Valks.
