Copy+pasted from BOLS: Late 2009 No big surprizes here. Wolves are officially confirmed by GW as of now, and the Skaven train has appaently left the station. Look for both of these before the holidays.
-Space Wolves -Skaven
Early-mid 2010 Chatter has been growing regarding nids from several sources, and their general sci-fi popularity tends to see them updated somewhat regularly compared to the more specialized xenos codices. Blood Angels seems odd, but its is a recurring theme, and perhaps the design studio is unhappy with the results of the White Dwarf codex? Perhaps a percieved coat-tails tie-in with Space Hulk?
-Blood Angels -Tyranids
The Usual Suspects Word of these guys keeps being bantered about in the seemingly eternal locked-in-amber "they are in progress, but don't look for a release right away" mode. It's especially tearful to continue to hear this type of chatter for the Dark Eldar who have been waiting for soooooo long.
-Beast of Chaos -Necrons -Dark Eldar
Nothing we haven't heard before.-TGS

They had freakin' better do a good job with BA, too.

BA should be pushed back for more third edition codices, same with nids. Both of them are fourth edition codices, and the nids don't need an update right now, while there's still four codices after Space Wolves that are still stuck in third edition.

True. 'crons, sisters, and DE all need an update. Nids do not. BA sorta do, only because Mat Ward made the blue-boys amazing with all the nifty units they stole from BA, and nifty toys they stole from DA... and then give them to the player cheaper. Undercutting the competition -- it's in the Codex Astartes... I bet if he could have found a way for Ultramarines to steal the DC, he would have done it, if only to force more people to go vanilla. Balls to that.
Balls to that.

Disappointing. The 3rd Ed Dexes really need their Updates before they start screwing around with the lists that still more or less work.

For goodness sake... How old is that Dark Eldar 'Dex now?
It's getting beyond a joke. But of course, the precious Marine players need atleast a 'dex a year.

Actually, closer to two/three a year.

Yeah, we're getting so many "Order" Codexes, finding a bad guy to fight is starting to get hard!

Not true. Do it the same way the Imperium does it: anybody/everybody else is the enemy, and must burn.

For goodness sake... How old is that Dark Eldar 'Dex now? 11 years old. It's balls haven't dropped yet, needs some more time to ferment. -GW

But apparently they don't mind taking the SM codex while it's freshly newborn.

It would be SO unfunny if the new SW codex reintroduces traits, but under a different name - like 'sagas'. Then every Smurf would want traits back, they would redo all the marine codexes all over again. And again. And again. At the end of the day its the Slann players I feel most for. Both of them!

But apparently they don't mind taking the SM codex while it's freshly newborn. It's the juice market, sells much more volume. DE is more of an aged wine (or at this point vinegar).

Only due to GWs neglect. If they hadn't left updating them for so long, they'd have a much stronger fan base by now.

I think GW will update the DE when they bring back the Squats.

Ssssch!
The Great Jervis Johnson in the sky said that every time we mention the word "Squat", their release schedule is pushed back 10 years.

Squat, squat, squat, SQUAT!
There. Who else had the balls to do that?
I dare you, GW. I double-squat-dare you to push the schedule back for 50 years!
