"Copy that. You heard him."
Rosh adjusted his course, and started walking towards Wes.
"Did you check for any underground passageways? You never know, this might've been a safe house or something."

John awoke and found himself hanging from a tree, his shoot streched and just sitting there. he looked down and saw that the supply crate landed successfully. He activated his helmets microbead. "Sir i'm stuck and could use assistance, i've activated my beacon and need help getting down."

"Sir John is aproximately 15 metres from the building, divert for 234 and you can rv with him."
Wes continued to search the building, he found a small cellar, not a secret passage but full of cured meats, spirits, furs and leathers.

" OI YOU " John yells at a nearby solider.
Jackson sun around pointing his sniper at the sound.
Realizing it was a fellow solider stuck in a tree Jackson pulls out his hive tyrant blade and cuts the solider free." Hey do you got a working mike? A .....bird .....broke mine." Jackson emits
He looks at his tracker and hits quite a few buttons...again....it didn't do much... although it said beacon activated on his screen .... next time he gets given this thing.... hes going to ask for a dam instruction manual.

Rosh walked over, pistol held casually in one hand.
"Gear up, we're moving in light. We RV with Kilvian at the abandoned Prefab shelter. We'll orient ourselves there, I've got a map to the probably city where Stormsurge is."
With that, Rosh started moving off back towards the Prefab shelter.

"Yes sir." john rolled his eyes after all the trouble of getting the supply box to the surface he had to leave it.
"Sir can i at least take this to the RV and we'll leave it there."

Meanwhile, Adley finally landed.
"Ride's over, everybody out."
As the soldiers climbed out, they could see that they had landed in some sort of large cave, a silent testament to Adley's piloting skills.

Levin was out the door of the Valk before the hatch had even fully descended. He looked around, eyes adjusting to the darkness. He moved away from the valk, keeping to the shadows. If there were any tau around, he guessed they'd already be on them. He looked around his squadmates, shouldering his rifle. Five soldiers, including himself; a mix of recon, special weapons and vehicle crew. Hardly an elite force for storming anything, he thought to himself. Still, he had been surprised before. The lieutenant emerged from the doors behind him, and he turned and spoke.
"So what's the plan, sir?"

Adley eyed the group thoughtfully. Not exactly the elite unit he had in mind.....
"Right now, we're a short march away to our destination. While Rosh and his fellows hunt down Stormsurge, we clear the extraction route. Theirs a small Tau outpost nearby."
Adley reached in a grabbed a pair of hellpistols, twirling them with ease.
"We're taking it out."
Kellet nodded, racking her rifle for emphasis. Slyati simply tensed a little, plasma gun glowing with the furious energy just barely contained within. Derald shrugged, lasgun still seeming rather puny, especially compared to his vox pack.

Wes crouched in the door jam of the building, his eyes scanning the area, with his ear listening for auspex pings, he kept getting glimpses of the sky and he was worried, he'd spent enough time on Elysia being trained to recognise weather patterns, and he knew what he was seeing, a storm was brewing.
"Klivian to LT, sir i'd recommend you double time it here, i think there's a bad weather front inbound on this area and you don't want to be outside"

Alexei wasn't a leader by any standard, so he just took his orders and toted his shortened stubber. They way he saw it was, that if he spits out enough lead maybe he wont go home to valhalla in a body bag.

Rosh soon came into view of Klivian, leading the other troopers there.
"We're going to have to take cover in here.....Let's hope none of the patrols find us."
Meanwhile, Adley was having much better progress.
"If that's all boys and girls, we should get a move on."
As the group started the long walk through the forest, Adley informed them of the Tau outpost.
"It isn't rather big, maybe two or three. firewarrior squads, and a pair of battlesuits, with a complement of drones. If we can get inside the building, we should make it through without too many deaths...."

"Sir it's lucky we came in the height of summer, this storm should only last a few hours, if we had came with cold weather we could have been stuck for days."
Klivian had pulled out a MRE from his survival kit as was allowing the disposable metal case to cook the food inside using a small powercell that would burn out after use.

Rosh had led the rest of the group inside, and shut the door, before laying out a very large scale map of the area (Believe it or not, that means the area covered is very small) It was simple. The surrounding area was just one large forest, except for the large clearing that they had landed in, and a second clearing, of about the same size.
Pointing at the second clearing, Rosh composed his thoughts, then spoke.
"Although it is not marked on this map, this clearing is a small Tau outpost, the first of two. The second is going to be assaulted by Lt. Adley and the mission group that stayed with him. We are going to take this one.
Our contacts with the Tau have convinced Stormsurge that the invasion force is going to land in this general area, so he and his army will be marching to either one of these bases. Regardless, we have to kill Stormsurge. If he is not at the outpost we assault, then we shall link up with Adley, and attack the other. Our contacts have made certain that he should be at one of the two outposts, either with or without his army.
I know what you're thinking, that we cannot trust a xenos. However, this is the best chance we have, and if we fail, thousands more may die, when they could die in better service somewhere else.
If it turns out that our contacts have lied, we shall RV with Adley, and make our way back to the Valkyrie, and leave the day of the invasion.

"Understood sir, do the Tau use human renegades as a labour force?"

Rosh shook his head.
"Not here. Even xenos are smart enough to not trust traitors with anything important, such as a Commander's life."
Rosh checked his chrono.
"Depending on how severe the storm us, we might have to push through."

"i say we hit as the rain clears. They will be re-adjusting the type of weapon scopes they'll be using." It will only be a few minute window. However if we hit them successfully they will have no scopes on there weapons." Re thinking his plan he added.
"They may have auto adjusting scopes. In which case it would be a a down side for us."
"Your call 'Lieutenant'. They'll be looking for a stealth attack under the cover of the storm. Or a bulrush at light. "

"With your permission of course sir!" Jackson said remembering he wasn't in charge...
