I'll have to get my vox operators to call in an order for some dolmas and falafel! Great looking stuff as always, Perkele!

Thank you both! This time I have a bit bigger update. I found some spare time so I finished my few remaining models, and guess what? My whole 1850 points tournament army is now completely painted! First of all here's a couple of pics of my second Rune Priest. Then six new guardsmen. Nothing too special here, one got a fedora just for the fun. As an added bonus I redid the text on Jalla with a marker pen, now it looks a bit better in my opinion. Then some group shots of the tournament army. There are five infantry squads with sergeants with power axes and melta bombs in the background. In the middle there are Stalin and his flamers (PCS), the Joker and the Grey Hunters with a flamer. In the front there are the Veterans (with backpacks), the Rune Priests and Sorjanen with his melta guns (CCS). Hitler is there as an Astropath, he is in charge of the air forces. The allies and the company command squad. Veterans and the platoon command squad. And finally the front liners. Then some pics of the rest of the army. Air forces, aka vendettas Ilmarinen, Väinämöinen and Lemminkäinen. And finally the panzers, manticores Kullervo and Kalervo, Jalla and Распутин. That's all from today. There's this two day tournament coming in this weekend, and I'm going to take my camera with me so there will be some pics of the army on the battlefield. It's awesome to get some games against other opponents than CSM as well, I have kinda had it with the 9 unkillable Obliterators destroying my army every game! I believe I'm going to win 1/5 of the games, but I'm pushing for two. Anyways, some pics of the tournament next week!

They looked great as single pieces, but now in full strenght they looked even better! I'm sure that with so great painted army with a lot of character you will win. Fingers crossed anyway. One thing though is the head of the guardsman on the first picture - it looks weird... Anyway good job as usual!

Cadians. Yuck. These will be the dead guys on my bases. No man who died in HIS name died in vain.

Long time no update, but now I thought I'd visit here and inform I'm still alive and kicking. There haven't been much 40k stuff in these two months I've been away, mainly some WHFB events, holidays and lots and lots of League of Legends games. The 40k tournament I was getting ready earlier went ok in my books, I played against DA+GK (lost 19-1), DoC (lost 20-0, but since the opponent was the captain of the Finnish 40k ETC team I didn't mind at all), Tau Empire (won 12-8), Tau Empire (won 20-0) and Space Marines (lost 12-8). In the end I was 10th of the 18 players, which was better than expected considering I hadn't really had many test games with the army. As a nice bonus I got the award for the best painted army, which was of course really appreciated. I don't want to spend the long time trying to link the pictures of the games and the tournament to here, but instead I'll leave here a link to my battle report thread on another forum - the forum is unfortunately Finnish, but since writing in English takes too much time for me I decided to go with that for the Finnish community. The pics are all good though, check out the pics if you're interested at all. Finnish battle reports, LOTS OF PICTURES - CLICKY ME!At the moment my 40k hobby is somewhat stalling, because there's just so many other things keeping me busy - the finals start within a month, there's lots of board game and LoL stuff to do, and the last but definitely not least, I'm moving to my first own apartment within the next 10 days and that's taking its own time. I heard from somewhere that the new IG book is coming out this spring, so probably after that I'll get back into the hobby more seriously, start playing more games and painting/buying more models. Enough rambling, I think I'll be on my way now, but first I'll leave here a couple of pictures of my recently painted models. I cleaned my working desk and found a couple of undercoated flamer guys, so I thought it'd be some good variation in my current painting schedule to get these guys done. That's all, folks. - Perkele

Awsome models here! Did you dry brush your tanks? Or is it a line highlight? Can't tell by the pic. Either way I wish I had your patience!

Thanks! All of my vehicles are edge highlighted. After the black undercoat I highlight the edges of the armor plates with light grey and then wash the whole model with black wash - the wash isn't necessary, but I like the patchy effect it brings on the models.

I just love the individualism in your army, no one is a clone! I noticed a minor missed detail piece on your leman russ, the hatch lacks a handle, it could also use more stowage to match your individualistic guardsmen.

Long time since posting here last time. Still no new IG stuff, but I'm just popping here and telling you I'll be back when the new Codex arrives from the pre-order.
