The giant looks great, almost makes me want to paint up some fantast stuff.
The ultramarine looks so much better than the leaked picture.
Good stuff as always

The image from the poster that found its way on to the interwebs a few months ago: There is a weird fold or something in the poster that makes the model look out of proportions (like he stole some poor terminator's shoes/greaves) and that put a lot of people of. Yours looks much better in the proportion detachment

Gotcha gotcha. It is a big model I will admit though, especially with his raised pose. He stands almost a head taller than a calth marine and is much bulkier but he is very well sculpted.

Nice, is the snow that new stuff from GW? It looks great. It's cocaine! That's how he powers through all the fingers he cuts off. Seriously though, Swalker, I can't post any pictures of my painted wolves, now, they'd look like garbage compared to yours.

Your paint pad looks like it has turned into good Chaos terrain.

Nutty: yes it's the new snow from GW. The stuff is awesome but often requires two coats to look like snow, first one tends to come off as a slush which is also pretty cool. Your paint pad looks like it has turned into good Chaos terrain. Haha so my palette has become something of a stubborn obsession. I started using a piece of card stock about 3 and a half years ago and just never switched it out. It now has over two inches of dried paint in the main part and has the hardness of wood.

Because Im bored heres a commission Im working on. Still needs some detail work but having gotten this far I can say I hate Dark Angels and their stupid bikes. And for those interested, my finger is healed. It just looks like its missing something... And my pallet. It is quite thick...

Lookie lookie what came in the mail today! 25 bucks on ebay and even if they are a recast (though they don't look it) they are a good sculpt so whatever, I won in this case haha. And a female squad leader. Tracians are getting progressive.

The banner is super amazing. Black/ white models are quite hard to pull off; those Knights look really great. Very charcoal/ matte kind of black.

Thanks guys! I have to admit, the banner was basically a paint by numbers type deal. I just looked up what the box model looked like and copied it. Even more embarrassing to admit would be that the guy these were for almost had a squad of Dark Angles running around instead (I was fortunately able to scrape off the "l" in time to fix my mistake). The black was just lighter and lighter dark grey drybrushes over a black under coat and then completely washed in nuln oil. I used the same method for doing my death watch but instead washed in the nuln oil gloss so the same highlights were there but the armor was shiny. The white on the apothecary was a lot easier to achieve then most people think. Hit it with a white undercoat, heavy nuln oil coat on all over, then pick out all raised surfaces with a 3:1ish white to grey mix (pure white sucks). Makes sure to leave the black lines inbetween the junctions, connection points, gaps etc. since thats what makes it pop. Its a tiny bit on the cartoony side of painting but it works well enough for me.

Shadowsword is looking great! Interesting army list to play against... but blowing up knights is always satisfying

Those bikes and Shadowsword look epic! When I come to do my Shadowsword I think I'll pick out the rivets too! Just looks so good and breaks up the green.

I would definitely suggest doing the rivets. Yeah it's a bit tedious but it really only takes about 20 minutes and makes the whole thing look so much better. Simple way to make it look much better. But seriously thanks guys for the compliments, makes it worth it.

Thanks jud, I appreciate it. I also got the old Warhammer Fortress recently. Had to trade my giant for it (which only cost me 25 bucks originally). I really didn't want to trade it but I couldn't pass up the deal.
