Great work on the painting progress. Also wow, is that terminator as broad as he is tall or is it just the angle? Very beefy in the armour. The birds are a nice touch too but the GS work on the last guy is so good. I like how it is understated but really pulls the model together.

The broadness might be the chaos lord lightning claws or the D/Wing kit might be a bit taller than the standard termies. In terms of points it's almost unusable - with terminator armour and the Swiftstrike and Murder relic lightning claws he clocks in at the same points cost as 5 terminators with an assault cannon. Still part of the overall collection.
The ravens are from the new Corvus kit from Warcry. Fun fact - it was the fastest purchase I've ever made. The table with the Warcry kits was 1.5 seconds from the bottom of the escalator at Dark Sphere Shepherds Bush and it took me another second to locate the kit and grab it, and another 2 seconds to get to the counter, with 2 minutes to spare till closing time. And I was already out while they were trying to get people to clear up their games.
I did a second Wolf Guard battle leader but not nearly as good as this one.

That is fracking awesome!
My boy is obsessed with sharks! I’ll have to show him that after he gets back from football!

That Land speeder conversion is excellent, I like how naturally the space marines seem to fit onto the shark.
To go full sharknado the Pilot would be manning a harpoon or waving a sword, something to that effect

Gentlemen, we're all correct, this can only end one way. We need a Shark Flail

Thanks Tread. It was going to be Desert Queen but that sounded like a Techno-Barbarian insult and then I remembered Captain Al' Rahem who moves ... like the Desert Wind. Since then I've made a squad of the ten craziest Vanguard Veterans using some amazing resin Anvil OOP old marine replacement parts and jump packs that I got in the sale bins at Dark Sphere and fully painted one. It's probably one of the best minis I've ever painted. Now if only I could remember where I cached it..... In the meantime I got an official Revelation from the Almighty Emperor in January telling me in exact detail where to look for inspiration in making the next batch of chem dogs. Its only my 11th or so attempt at an Imperial Guard army (first being Mordians in the very early 90s) and 5th specifically chem-inhaler modelled guard army. Ok so some of the tanks will be from the previous attempt but seeing as I have new chimeras and tauroxes lying around unassembled I'll use those instead of my trusty old 4 chimeras from the previous generation and I'll make a new style LRBT that will match my Vanquisher and Eradicator. The old russes have a higher turret. This regiment will be the Ulyssean 2020th Alchem Jackers; 'The Hellraisers', Bogey Brigade. So far my thoughts are that Ulysses is a Hive World in Ultima Segmentum; in a Sector that suffers from freak warp storms and lots of space ships get lost in raging warp storm tides, but even if a regiment is lost a new one has to be raised for the Tithe, which explains the high regiment numbers. I'm also reading some of the Necromunda books and Hive Worlds are fascinating.

Who are we to argue with His divine will?
I know what you mean, I’d be all over Imperial Guard if there were more Regiments other than Cadians or Catachans in plastic.
The Ulysses Hellraisers are off to a good start. I have a soft spot for troops loaded up with hazardous conditions equipment!
Looking forward to seeing more.

I'd like to see a new regiment for sure. I'd say Valhallans/ Steel Legion in the same box (with alt heads and clip-on fur for the Valhallans) would make the most economic sense as they only have to make 2 kits if they put the heavy weapons in with either the command or standard troop set. Unless they go for a different angle and give us something totally new and incompatible like the Elucidian Starstriders from the KT Rogue Trader game. Having said that I quite like both the Catachan and Cadian sets. There are 10 different variant shock troop legs in the 3 boxes we have so I might try to make every infantry squad have one of each leg, just to make my own life difficult. The Ulysseans are 100% Cadian shock with just some green stuff and a bit of wire. Luckily I've been collecting so long that there just might be enough promethium backpacks. Here are the next three just sprayed (plus bonus MtO assassin and stormie): (Its a very intense 4 stage assembly process.. and all my troopers have had their noses surgically removed. Does anyone remember the mutant 'Dave No Nose' from the 2000AD comic strip Strontium Dog?) Edit : found my painted marine cache. Love those resin Anvil bitz.

I’m still holding on to the hope GW will do plastic Death Korps of Krieg!! I’d love to do them again but can’t justify the price!
Really like the camouflage on the marine, don’t often see that.
The back pack looks awesome! Is it from Anvil?

Really like the camouflage on the marine, don’t often see that. The back pack looks awesome! Is it from Anvil? Thanks. Yeah it's an Anvil piece. You can still get the jump pack from them here but I don't know how long for as it seems they are discontinuing all their old marine scale stock and have literally just replaced it with a new sumptuous looking primaris scaled marine range but they look more like storm troopers or elite guard than marines with all the pouches. Kicking myself for not getting a box of 5 all resin discontinued old scale Black-Ops that were under £20 while they were available. How have I only just seen this amazing 'Land Speeder' ? I spat Tea everywhere when I saw this. Sea World just took it to another level. Sorry Major; I owe you a screen... Unfortunately old Sharkey has to wait for me to do the guard army, an unofficial Space Pirate army using allsorts of Necromunda gangers/ guard models and a small Genestealer Cult which can ally with either. Reading the 7th rules it seems that my stormies (if I use the separate MT codex) will be Come The Apocalypse with the Cult which could be interesting for deep strike mishaps.. The 2 new guard .... .. have slightly bigger and thicker visor than their compadres from a few weeks ago. Need to get with it on the sculpting.

I thought I'd do some work on my Valkia model today. Just blue tacking on some parts to see how they looked. At the moment I'm not convinced about this setup. I like the helmet, sword and pointing, and if I went with this I'd probably add the arm robe part on the sword arm and cut off the spike on the sword arm that stops the jump pack from being level (or switch to Celestine's jump pack). However it feel like the chaos is too subtle here, I think I'll try it with the wings and the shield arm (sine the shield is exceedingly sweet) I'm also leaning towards a non-helmeted head from the Sisters box. With the saint jump pack wings: With the shield and wings: Ultimately I should probably wait till the Seraphim and Canoness boxes drop to see all the potential parts... but it has been a long time waiting for that.
