I've been experimenting with different types of high visibility and reflective tape so the light is the reflection of the flash.
I'm also finding the bolted scrap style to be really rewarding but it takes ages to do so I'm really glad to hear you say that. I think I'll keep using it on anything that has been 'mekked' together and contrast it with a more 'lovingly' maintained bling yellow for the cult of speed.

He's looking really detailed, Empty. Great painting. The conversion of the AOBR warboss is really spectacular. Now you need uber-expensive Forge World nob bikerz to race with him.
In fact.. Forget 40k. You just need a game with bikes and long road sections.

I'm not going to lie Chemin, I did promise myself some FW nob bikeerz and a FW biker warboss to go with him as a reward for getting this done. Bike minigame is a pretty sweet idea. Maybe you should also write a rough rider minigame? Ascot for 40k?

I'm glad I didn't take it now, being that I had first dibs on it. At least you got him painted, and really well.
Resin bikers.. That just sound great and yet really scary.
My riders are being shelved for a new one trick pony.

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. I had thought to keep this under my hat until our next game Bike warbosses got pretty good in this edition, I believe you can't instant death them anymore. Sadly my hat wished to remain empty and so it floated up and allowed the paparazzi free reign.

Lovely work, Empty. I look forward to having a few more games, just so I can get owned again!

I still think you could have pulled that last one off. Sometimes things look grim in 40k but there is a surprising swing. Otherwise your main weakness was target selection, which quickly improves with experience.

This guy rules, my only regret is that I didn't think of it first Your painting is improving too, I can easily see the effort that you've put into shading the yellow. Well done mate!

Very purple I like it! It reminds me a bit of the War of the Worlds, only not red......

Lovely jubbly Moar pictures!! Sorry about the delayed reply. I had to convert and paint something fresh for you. My plan is to use this as either a trukk or as a looted wagon so I quickly built it a skorcha turret and my plan is to build it a boomgun later. I tried to get a broken glass effect on the glass but I think I'll need to work on it a bit more. I also started to paint on some scraps of purple to make it look like it had been previously been one of my purple guard chimera but I'm not sure if I'll carry on with that route. Either way she's not quite finished yet. I still need to add some oil leaking out from various places and then probably wash the whole thing in black and maybe add some yellow to bits of it. So I'm somewhat open to suggestions here. This is also my first time painting my rust effect since the paint switch (oh how I miss calthan and mechrite).

The broken glass effect has worked out really well on one or two windows of the top hatch. Is the lid top with the skorcha gun detachable? The metallic rust colour has worked out nicely.

Thanks, it was hard to tell with the glass after I had painted it, I'm glad to get an opinion on it. The lid is just sitting there without any glue or anything and the round top on the broken glass hatch can also be popped off. There is a magnet attached underneath that so I can add an ork or a wrecking ball or a bigger turret with a boom gun and attach it by magnet.

Yeah, it might be forgivable if I plate up the area with some arm armour.

What about some kind of 'taxi driver' gun brace? A few rods under his arm to support the gun would be cool and pretty easy to do (I imagine). Put a joint in and attatch them to his backpack and his puny gun arm is now re-enforced! I like the 'moar dakka' rocket nobs too
