Warboss looks solid! Though I agree it’d be better if he was looking in the direction of the Gargoyle.

Update on him. I rifled through my Imperial vehicle bitz box and scored some parts for an armoured skirt and some leg pistons. I'm going to beef up the feet a bit too to integrate them. judcottrell In that case I'll tear his head off. Hopefully I can do that even though I drilled a pin into both sides but the great mekboyz all say you can't be afraid to tear the bitz off a model if it isn't working well enough.

That’s the spirit! If in doubt, give it a clout!!

Project update: I yanked off the head. You have to be very careful with one of these because a severed Ork head can live for days and is quite mean. And re-attached it to the body with as much angle as I could get without cutting off the ear. Though to be honest any more twist past the armoured breast plate would have made the neck ridiculously long, as it is I think it is still alright. I also added some Termagaunt corpses to the base, they should blend in a bit more later but I'm going to have to be careful about leaving room to glue the boss on. BTW judcottrell what is the paint colour scheme for your nids? I think you mentioned Vallejo field grey, which looks like a slightly darker Administratum Grey. Is it a progression of grey highlights over black and then something like Castellan Green for the shell?

Much better! Looks a lot more natural.
For the black areas I use Skavenblight Dinge, wash with Nuln Oil, line highlights of Stormvermin fur and Dawnstone.
For the shells I use Vallejo German Dark Camo green, Field grey (I try and fit this colour into all my projects!!) then some lines of a mix of field grey and Nurgling Green, finished with fine lines of pure Nurgling Green!
Hope that helps.

Very helpful. I'll need to work out how to mix the Vallejo colours and I don't have Skaven Blight Dinge or Stormvermin on handm but I do have to paint a few hundred Skaven at some point so I've ordered some. I imagine by the time GW manages to fulfill the order I'll have the model finished enough for painting.

The new warboss looks really unique. The legs are from the AoBR/ Assault on Vedros warboss, aren't they?
That termagant on the base is well casted; is it made of milliput cast from Blue stuff?

Good eye. The main body of the boss is the AoBR body; and the termies are indeed milliput-bluestuff casting. Fun fact, if you pop them out a little early they are still somewhat bendy. The original plan was to boot splat one while it was still doughy (which might still happen).
