I ordered both sets of Colour Shift Chameleon paints from Green Stuff World and they arrived yesterday. To test them out I've been painting a random model I bought on discount from Wayland some time ago. The jumpsuit uses the Nebula Copper paint. The same angle but with a flash on. The model itself is quite fun. And always reminds me of Ymmot (M.I.A) 's love of pulp sci fi. Probably a Ratling, explorer, rebel, from the rocket men.

Some more messing about with colour shift paints: This one looks pretty beetley, I've got some ideas about what I can do to improve the shell but I want to paint up two more to go alongside so I can see how they look next to each other and right now I'm out of brown spray. Coils for the plasma gun, looks pretty sweet irl, like the others it's a tad tricky to photograph well but a lot easier to paint than highlighting them the normal way. This Exalted Sorcerer still needs some work on the white and blue of the armour, but the colour shift for the orb and the bottle at his waist are done.

He’s looking great! Really like the orb, looks like a swirling ball of raw warp power.

Yesterday I painted some Daemonettes. Might do a little more with the silver and I should probably layer up the colour shift paint that I washed over them so that it works a bit better at its main job. But I think this works as a different and fairly easy colour scheme. The big problem though is going to be painting the Nurgle daemons in a similar way. I hve a colour shift which is Toxic Purple but if I coat them with an otherworldy shimmer I might have to forgoe the manky and gritty look on them, I might even have to pass up on those freshly spanked Nurgling hams that GW alsways loves painting.

Fancy stuff, although I have to say I prefer the less is more approach like you did with the plasma coil and the sorcerer.

You are probably right, nutty. In this case I just wanted to see what would happen, and have a fairly fun and relaxing paint scheme for my Daemon allies so I could cut my paint queue a little. Also my sister thought that the default colour scheme was hella boring.

Putting together some more Chaos Terminators because they are a fun kit. These ones are mixed with some old, Fantasy, Chaos Knights. I've only greenstuffed up the torso on the one on the right of the photo, but I should probably do the other two as well. And because using those knight parts left me with two spare torsos I built a spider terminator. Maybe I should use the last one to make a snake terminator?

Snakernator?
Good conversions. I did a similar one to that last terminator on a catachan cultist torso but had the insect legs facing the other way and made a kind of stinger bit coming out of the rear with putty.
Are these going to actual Death Guard or Syndrome renegades?

Syndrome, I imagine. I should pick up some of those new nurgle Terminators for kit comparison, but I'm trying to cut back on the plastic budget for a bit.

I painted this squad of cultists up at the last minute for a game back in May vs cheminhaler The models are from Oddball and I bought them off of an ebay merchant who is probably behind casting them. A Malifaux model that I'm using as a Slanneshi cult champion: Some more cultists, from Hasslefree's modern range. Some fallen Black Templar Terminators, the Black Knights. Some progress on my Daemons of Slannesh allied detachment: I've been procrastinating on finishing the Lord because I can't decide how I want to do the armour. A very work in progress picture of a Herald of Nurgle. I'm trying to make the colour shift work here too, to give my Daemons a sense of unreality Hellbrutes and Chaos Spawn A Wip of a Chaos Sorcerer

Cool stuff (if you are a filty heretic).
Did you watch this: (https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/10/01/the-sprue-and-you/) all the way to the end?

Cool stuff (if your a filty heretic). Did you watch this: (https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/10/01/the-sprue-and-you/) all the way to the end? I saw it this afternoon. I like the new plastic Fiend, but I'm glad I got three of the classics before they went away. I've liked how it looked and it is one of those times where Finecast is a plus because you can cut into and repose the resin and have it balance in ways that metal wouldn't allow. I did have to fix a couple of bits on it due to casting imperfections but that was something I expected going into it because it was an old metal mould that they just bunged resin into. I should probably decide if I want to buy another ten or twenty of the current daemonettes or roll the dice on liking any update they do.

If they update them at all: all the other gods got new toys.. but the 'basic' daemons all stayed the same. It'd be interesting to see what they come up with though.

Yeah, I'm probably best off waiting to see if they update the Start Collecting box to a better deal.

I thought I'd mess around with some deamon conversions. My camera was fairly low on batteries and i took a couple of these pictures in a rush, so I might need to have another go later. First guy is a plague bearer who stared off as a plastic monopose Orc from the 5th ed black orc box. I think it was in a box of 40k Orks I ebayed and it had the right sort of pose for a plague bearer. Next one is a Beast of Nurgle I made out of milliput and some spare bits from the Spawn and Plague drone kits. It was a good chance to mess around with technical paints and colour shift before I finish up my plague drones. You can see a big difference in pictures without the flash and pictures with them. No Flash: Flash: I might add a little more Nurgles rot along the sluggy front. I also made a second one but I haven't finished painting it yet.

it was part of the end of season 1 finale for the roleplay i've been running. it was well guarded and i had thought the playeers would run away, however, they decided to stick it out and fight against desperate odds... and failed (poor dice rolls in their first few turns really hampered them). they bravely self desstructed a conversion beamer and lascannon power pack in order to stop themselves becoming poxwalkers. they lost around 12 men. it was an interesting end to the season!

WIP for my bit box challenge Ork Warboss. It's taking a while to get it done and there are a few things I need to commit to before it is finished. On the to do list we have: - List item 1
- List item 2
- List item 3
- List item 4
- List item 5
My Tyranid bitz are a bit lacking for sprucing this up, I've got some spore mines, some push together Termigaunts, and a box of Gargoyles. Critique and suggestions are welcome, it is a work in progress so I'm still trying to milk it for the potential (Like, do I need to tear the head off and rotate it a bit so it is looking at the Gargoyle?).
